Out Into the World - Cat With A GreatAxe - 2

Still in the starting city, and this episode is almost all errands: lantern oil, a missing persons list, a package for the sisters, and a captain who needs cheering up. Then out the Zephyr Gate to kill dock rats and settle into a farm with a dozen small jobs, taking me from level six to eight, a second skill, and a high opinion of the jump.

• Oct 27, 2026My Legendary Adventures in Norrath
  Castle Nektropos

First trip into Castle Nektropos, which opens with a three part errand for Lord Everling before you are let through the gate. A lost ring, a sapphire and a setting from two cities, and a visit to the high priestess in the open world Plane of Hate. Then the castle itself on difficulty zero as Shadow Knight, Monk and Shaman: seven murdered sisters, a locked library, a key built from four scattered parts, and a quest that ends with a sword hilt and a promise to the sisters' mother.

  Making Our Way to Dalaran

The last episode in the Zephyrus Island starting zone for my Druid. I hand in the backlog, talk two feuding factions into one assault, take the sanctuary, deal with the cult leader, finally buy the trainer skills I had been skipping, and sail to Dalaran. Next up is a defense Paladin trial before the beta launches.

• Oct 25, 2026Monsters and Memories
Necro is fun but wiki required?

Second try at Monsters and Memories, this time a deep gnome Necromancer on a different server. The class is fun and the pet makes it playable, but the first quest only completes if you type a slash command no screen mentions, mana comes back far too slowly, and an hour and twenty minutes got me to level 2.

• Oct 24, 2026Monsters and Memories
I am terrible at this game

First look at Monsters and Memories as an Ogre Shaman out of the Night Harbor subdocks. Character creation is the best part; after that it took me about an hour and 47 minutes to hand in a rookie note, lost in tunnels, with a Linux launcher that installs a Windows build and a control scheme that will not let me climb onto a dock already at two strikes.

October 23, 2026 Patch Notes - Everquest Legends

The October 22 update is a pet pass: command locks, a taunt toggle that moves threat by 75% or 50%, and backstabbing pets that can now kick and bash. Berserkers get Rampage rank 2 and a cleaner stance, and the October 23 hotfix cleans up the Necropolis. Then the spoilers: the datamine for reincarnation and the dark half-elf unlock.

• Oct 23, 2026Spirit of Hamrok
  Ogre

Spirit of Hamrok starts: a Shaman from level 1 to 130 in live EverQuest, mostly solo, with a hired mercenary counting as solo. I picked an Ogre for the stun immunity, ran the whole training area in about an hour, and ended it at level 11 with the first rules of the run laid out.

  October 2026 Everquest Patch Notes

The October 21st live update. Parcels finally take multiple items at once with a Shift click, which is a gift if you have twenty character accounts to empty. Alongside it a poison slow tied to trade skills, Magician and Rogue focus fixes, Night of the Dead, and the Extra Life rewards.

• Oct 22, 2026Nomeregard's Journey
  Progress in the Reach

A full day of Crescent Reach quest running at level 11 on Lethar: cougar fangs, mushrooms, lemonade, a torch and a ceremonial blade, then a long and vague hunt for the Spirits of Wisdom and Truth in Dragon Grove. The Necromancer is at 204 intelligence with one point of mana regeneration and a new pet on the way, and there is an announcement of a separate Shaman series on a live server.

• Oct 21, 2026Cat With A GreatAxe
Fresh off the Boat - Cat With A GreatAxe - 1

The first episode of a new Final Fantasy XIV series: a Marauder who becomes a Warrior, built around a very large axe. This one covers character creation, the opening boat ride and pirate attack, signing in at the Adventurers' Guild, and a long afternoon of small errands around Limsa Lominsa that ends with joining the Marauders' Guild and reaching level five. A slow start, and I say so.

• Oct 20, 2026EverQuest Legends
  Master Yael - WAR / ENC / CLR - d4 solo

Master Yael at difficulty four with Warrior, Enchanter and Cleric, a fight I called easy before parsing it at 238 DPS. The level 43 pet does about 19,000 of it, the Beastlord AI slows and plagues me the whole way, and the build needed two Sacred Echoes and never touched Promised Renewal.

• Oct 19, 2026World of Warcraft Forever Beta
  The Ruins of Ban'aethal

Picking the Druid up at the turncoat quest with the beta about five days from ending, then working through every side quest I had left. A gnome with no memory wants acorns and freed spirits, the druid enclave at war with the cult wants moss, blood heirlooms, ears and twenty feathers, and a cave holds seven wounded druids. I reach level 14, sort out the beta legacy points and wish I had taken the rage talent sooner.

October 2026 Everquest Test Server Patch Notes

The October 13th test server update. Parcels take up to 25 items at once with a Shift click, and a poison slow of 66% at its top rank makes the Rogue look like a real option for group play. Alongside that, Shadow Knight and Magician fixes, Rogue focus changes, a bigger progression server experience bonus, and a pile of crash and interface fixes.

Patch Notes October 13, 2026 - Final Fantasy XIV

My first patch notes video for Final Fantasy XIV, covering 7.57 from October 13. The beast class gets fixes, the Crucible changes its scoring and opens its first ranked season, party selection widens across the Japanese data centers, and two events are running now, a Fall Guys one and a Halloween one. I am level 14 and say so whenever I do not follow something.

Patch Notes October 15, 2026 - World of Warcraft Forever - Beta

The October 15 beta update to World of Warcraft Forever, read through a few weeks before the November 4 launch. Racial abilities are reworked, mostly as easings, the Paladin takes a stack of nerfs, the Druid keeps its energy between forms, and Horde players are no longer welcome in Dalaran.

• Oct 16, 2026EverQuest Legends
  Lord Nagafen - WAR / ENC / CLR - d4 - solo

Lord Nagafen at difficulty four with Warrior, Enchanter and Cleric, the fight I expected to be easy and parsed at 233 DPS, about 15 above Lady Vox. A charmed pet adds the rest, I finish with plenty of mana, and I say outright that I am about done with the Enchanter outside of leveling.

• Oct 14, 2026EverQuest Legends
  Lady Vox - WAR / ENC / CLR - d4 - solo

Lady Vox at difficulty four with Warrior, Enchanter and Cleric, a build I called boring right before parsing it at 217 DPS. A charmed priest does 18,000 of the 78,000, the build cannot realistically die, and I still think the Enchanter is a leveling class more than a boss class.

• Sep 30, 2026Natch Potes
September 29, 2026 Natch Potes - Everquest Legends

No patch this week, only a hotfix with two language fixes: half-elf characters now get a language when they are created, and the common language for Iksars, Ogres and Trolls is now 100, existing characters included. The rest is a note that the team is busy, Kunark is in the works, and a big patch every week is not a realistic expectation.

  Lethar, We Come

Starting a Necromancer from nothing on Lethar, a quiet live EverQuest server with no pick zones. The tutorial for baseline gear and platinum, a Legends UI skin ported across, and a mercenary the server will not let me hire.

• Aug 28, 2026Nomeregard's Journey
  Let's Try That Again

Back the next day with the tutorial actually playable, the Lethar fresh-start lockbox claimed, and the first Necromancer spells bought. Still no mercenary, and no Defiant gear on this server at all.

  Master Yael - WAR / BRD / SHM - d4 solo

Master Yael at difficulty four on Warrior, Bard and Shaman, run entirely in offensive and Empower. Envenomed Bolt alone is 36% of the damage, and the bard songs quietly hand over 6,000 more for no mana and no attention.

• Aug 26, 2026My Legendary Adventures in Norrath
  Wow This Bee...

Taking the Shaman into Plane of Sky at 46 instead of waiting for 50, clearing two islands for wind runes and a level, and turning in enough to walk out with a feign death clicky. Plus why difficulty four Cazic Thule still will not die.

• Aug 25, 2026EverQuest Legends
  Innoruuk - WAR / BRD / DRU - d4 - solo

Innoruuk at difficulty four with Warrior, Bard and Druid, and the parse afterwards says the quiet part: the charmed pet did 41,000 of the 113,000, and a two platinum alchemy potion did 8,900 of it.

  Lady Vox - WAR / BRD / DRU - d4 - solo

Vox at difficulty four in 4:41, against 7:48 the week before, and she has always felt easier than Nagafen. Her room holds exactly one charmable mob and it is always there, though the run is clear that the build does not need it.

• Aug 21, 2026My Legendary Adventures in Norrath
Guk Is So Good - WAR / BRD / SHM

Guk in the high twenties on the new Shaman, and the episode where the numbers get explained: why the Bard chants are the free damage, what each third class actually adds, and why Innoruuk needs his own melody. The Hole at 42 is next.

• Aug 20, 2026EverQuest Legends
  Lord Nagafen - WAR / BRD / DRU - d4 - solo

Nagafen at difficulty four in 5:11, against eight minutes on the first attempt, with the whole ladder from zero timed alongside it. Resist gear is skipped on purpose: 400 to 500 fire resist in beta changed nothing, and he still hit for 400 to 600.

• Aug 19, 2026My Legendary Adventures in Norrath
Quick Trip To Najena - WAR / BRD / SHM

Najena from 15 to 19 on the new Shaman, and Journeyman's Boots off Drelzna on the first attempt. The zone is close to unreadable in the dark until you turn on the client's enhanced vision setting, which the illusion you need to get in does not fix.

• Aug 18, 2026EverQuest Legends
  Master Yael - WAR / BRD / DRU - d4 solo

Yael at top difficulty with Warrior, Bard and Druid, five minutes against seven last week. He is a Beastlord here and perma slows you, and the cure clicky now takes four clicks to strip twelve counters, so the honest answer is to ignore the slow.

Crushing Some Bones - WAR / BRD / SHM

A second loadout starts at level 10 wearing the level 50 gear, and Crushbone has exactly one thing worth the trip: the Spiky Splintmail and its permanent Bramble Coat click. The experience here is poor, and the zone's own Hunter achievement does not credit its named.

  Innoruuk, Prince of Hate

Innoruuk at difficulty zero, plus the Agnostic deity quest that asks for him and Cazic Thule. His resists are the exact inverse of Cazic's, which is the one thing worth knowing before you build a spell set.

• Aug 13, 2026My Legendary Adventures in Norrath
  Cazic Thule

August 2026 Everquest Test Server Patch Notes

Resource Hunter gets the longest section, but the change that matters most is the Cleric epic 1.0: Shmendrik Lavawalker's respawn comes down and the chain loot locks to whoever did the turn in, which closes the multi-quest that handed the epic to people who had done none of it.

  Cazic Thule - WAR / CLR / NEC - d4 solo

Cazic Thule at difficulty four on Warrior, Cleric and Necromancer, entered by accident when I set up for a two. Resists decide the fight, Envenomed Bolt carries it, and it ends on 1 percent health and 2 percent mana.

  Master Yael - WAR / CLR / NEC - d0,d1,d2,d3,d4 solo

A viewer build request tested cold on Master Yael at difficulty four: Warrior, Cleric and Necromancer, no practice run. It wins comfortably, and I fought most of it without noticing I had no main hand weapon equipped.

  Cazic Thule - WAR / BRD / CLR - d4 solo

Cazic Thule at difficulty four on Warrior, Bard and Cleric, the hardest kill on the channel so far. Defensive stance stops holding, endurance drains in a way I had not seen, and it comes down to whether my mana outlasts his health.

  Cazic Thule - WAR / BRD / CLR - d3 solo
