Struggling with No Instances

Hello and welcome to my legendary adventures in Norrath and today this is I believe episode 3. We’ve been We’ve been having some crash issues and they haven’t happened for a while but I got a debugger attached to it right now and if if it crashes we’ll deal with it then but I I leveled up to seven while waiting on uh you know waiting on it to crash. I’m trying to I’m trying to get it to crash. There’s so many hill giants in uh West Commons now. [music] They disabled They disabled all the instances in Freeport and [music] on Rivervale so uh not that all the instance just the [music] personal instances because the can’t spawn one. I tried to go get one so I could practice uh this bug where I could isolate it where I could find mobs easier to kill faster right [music] but uh no such luck today. So we’re just running around looking for mobs avoiding the I mean there’s like one two three four hill giants on my screen right? Uh and they’re just like all roaming up and down the entirety of the zone like guards out of like some NPC game or something right? [music] It’s just like crazy. Uh we picked up a new pet uh Merissa’s animation at level seven when I dinged. Uh auto grant. Uh which is actually a much better pet. He buffs himself [music] now. Uh and uh you can see there he’s just making short work of stuff. We’re only getting like 3% experience on some of this stuff though. Uh there’s a griffin over there. Bears like like not having instances is really going to like slow this down significantly. Uh, but I wanted to keep trying to push on. Hopefully like some people like leave the surf somewhere else. Uh, we can kill this [music] guy. I killed one. I killed level 61 a minute ago. All right, so we’re going to six him. And then we’re going to change spam new commands. Uh, definitely [music] uh I’m definitely having fun in all honesty. Uh, even though there’s crashes and stuff. I just wish I knew why it was crashing. I uh I switched from OpenGL back end on Wine [music] to uh Vulcan. And uh maybe that’ll help or something. I have no idea what it is. It seems to crash [music] only when auto loot is distributed. So. Uh maybe it’s a sound [music] issue with that sound effect on coin change or something like that. I don’t know. But [music] uh 8999 is the experience cap at level seven, [music] so just schwacking through these guys. But uh going into the fallen without an instance is >> [music] >> uh is something special, I’ll tell you what. I will tell [music] you what. There is like no mobs alive, nothing, right? And that’s what That’s how it was in the private beta before they even added uh uh instances to the game and it was it was not fun to play, I’ll tell you that. Uh, because uh you really need [music] instances to play Everquest and um it’s just not fun otherwise when there’s this many people, right? This is the same problem you get like on [music] TLPs and stuff like that, so uh you know, definitely uh oh, there’s another young Cordiac somewhere. Oh, they’re like spawning on top of each other. All right. I think my pet has a little bit more mana now. Hopefully, I can kill one of these real quick before I come back to spawn. I’ve been dying a lot. I have been surely dying a lot, but uh just you know, just kind of trying to get an update on my leveling because I am going to level uh pretty fast here. Just you know, around trying to get get the game [music] to crash, and I didn’t want to Where is the skeleton at? The Oh, this I’m Okay, where I’m standing is where mobs spawn. I get it now. There’s another bear. [music] Can I get him? There we go. All right. So, like I’m I’m going to level uh you know, I don’t think I’ll have every single ding in the videos, right? But uh ideally, [music] we can uh you know, do a lot of the milestones together, which which is >> [music] >> uh right now it’s getting to level 10, right? And then at level 10, we’re going to you know, switch [music] to uh warrior bard uh druid so that we can uh level up the rest of the way that way. Which uh you know, I think it’s good like enchanters, you know, fine option and all that, but I I I really I really honestly want to be be playing the other one right now, so as soon as I uh as soon as I ding, it will work. I think I I would have leveled just as fast with uh with druid at all in all honesty. Uh or uh probably not bard because I would not have any heals or anything like that, but there’s low-level so many high-level mobs. But there’s not enough low-level mobs. Just millions of people running around. This thing’s level 11 here. There we go. We got to We got to We got like what? 12 people in the guild so far? So, that’s pretty [music] good. I think. Getting everybody that’s on Discord in here and having a little bit of a good time. Uh let’s see here. Let’s go like this. But they said they’re going to patch the uh the thing this the instance issue in the morning. Uh so, oh god, did I just get killed by a griffin? No, the aggro range is >> [music] >> tiny, so that’s pretty good. Look at that shadow knight ruining his faction. Hilarious. How is he going to be able to do the uh the mallet quest? Poor guy. Look at the paladin pets, they’re so lame. The uh whatever that was. Oh, all right. So, there we go. This could be the end. Uh but we did pick up some AAs, so there That’s the end, right? Uh so, I don’t I’m I’m I’m on the fence [music] of uh you know, going to another server for uh you know, temporarily just to see if I can try to figure out this crash sooner. But, [music] uh at the same time I don’t really want to waste my time. But, that’s just how it is, I guess. Uh let’s see here. That was This is just nothing. Nothing to kill. Now, uh there is a bug uh somebody said that like if you buy a bunch of these potions, they’re supposed to stack [music] additional five uses on your existing potion. Uh apparently it’s not working. Uh so, don’t don’t do that. >> [music] >> Uh definitely uh you know, we we asked them to put you know, the the shop on the beta, [music] right? So, we could test it, but uh they never did. So, that’s that’s on them. >> [music] >> There’s another wisp. The wisps are actually uh pretty nice. They sell their When you get a When you get a good light stone, they sell for a good amount of money. Uh like a platinum or something like that. What am I at? I have like 44 gold. Maybe I’m wrong. When we get to a guide, uh it’s going to be a little while, honestly. Honestly, it will be a little while, especially with this delay that we’re having here. Uh so, that is unfortunate. And you know, people are trying to group and stuff, but like people are just stealing kills and stuff. I I saw some uh there’s some you know, a lot of people already level 10. [music] Awes- I think someone said there was someone that was level 20 already. Easy. Absolutely crazy. There we go. Decent damage there. But we’re getting to the point where like we’re >> [music] >> probably going to want to like go inside a zone, which is unfortunate, you know. And I haven’t crashed in a while. Now, I crashed on looting a spider >> [music] >> venom sack just a little while ago, maybe something there. I feel like it’s the coin sound, honestly. [music] There we go. So just need some mana, and then uh you know, we’ll just kill a little bit longer. Uh I’m just then I’m going to grind, right? I’m just going to be doing mindless grinding like this >> [music] >> until 10. And then go unlock uh in the next video we’ll go unlock whatever, right? Uh I might wait till tomorrow to do it. >> [laughter] >> So that it’s uh you know, we can [music] get into an instance and go back into Befallen and you know, try to actually get some upgrades. [music] At 10 we should be able to kill everything in the first floor with a zero effort. Especially with like all these extra AAs we’re getting from this potion. >> [music] >> So definitely uh going to take advantage of that, I guess. Considering how uh terrible this ex- experience is right now. Didn’t crash me either. It was it just crashing cuz I was even open to you. That could be the hilarious thing. The problem [music] the problem is, right? Is that the uh the EverQuest uh game automatically uploads the crash report to uh to Daybreak, right? So they it uploads it and deletes it immediately before you uh can get it. So I [music] the what I did is I attached it so the file can’t get deleted. So when everything that gets written is sticky to the drive, right? And so uh I got I got Claude in the background [music] like monitoring it. So as soon as it crashes it’s going to grab it, copy it, and uh read the read the file, tell me what DLL crashed in Wine so I can then figure out why the hell it’s crashing in uh in uh on Linux here, so we can try to get it fixed and enjoy ourselves. Oh god. Wait, I’m getting attacked by the skeleton and I don’t want the skeleton. There we go. All right, I guess we’re going to have a three-way here with no hit points. I don’t know why he’s not healing me anymore. >> [laughter] >> I’m probably at 10% health, buddy. You are absolutely slacking. Oh my gosh, there’s one. Ah, almost had it. Yeah. Let’s call it here. I’m going to just be doing this, mindlessly throwing my body at mobs, trying to [music] crash my client. Uh but that’s that, right? Uh I just wanted to, you know, have a quick, what is this? A 20-minute video, right? Yeah, this is someone’s going to shut down in 15 minutes. All right, this is like I don’t know what it is. These pixel ones don’t stay stay up long enough and it’s uh it’s it it’s very annoying in open world. Uh but yeah, hopefully they get it all fixed tomorrow and uh we can continue uh slaying.
