Wow This Bee...

Hello and welcome to my uh legendary adventures in Norrath. Today we are in Plane of Sky on the Shaman. Uh I got 46 from doing Soul B. And uh I I’m doing some cool stuff now, right? Uh so check this out. This is a map I had Claude generate from the zone geometry. And well, it looks a little crazy now. They turn this on like this, right? So it actually takes the meshes and the contours of the of the zone, right? So you can see where all these different >> [music] >> divots are. Obviously, this is this zone probably needs a little bit of work, but uh definitely pretty interesting there, right? And uh I’ve also started uh labeling the map, right? Like there’s no labels. These uh these for outdoor zones, apparently it can pick up all the different uh things for some reason, but not the indoor zones. So I’ve uh >> [music] >> set up this little macro here uh to log the NPC. So if I go like stand right right on her, right? I can click this. Boom, it’s in my log now and uh it’s got the right short zone. >> [music] >> I can click on this guy, too. Get him logged. Boom, right? Uh and then that that the next time I run the my parser through, it will pick up all that. But uh what I was actually doing, so we’re 46 and I was like I don’t really like going to Sky and wasting my time at 50. Now, how how am I going to do at 46 in Sky with uh with a Shaman, right? Like I I curious. So that’s what we’re going to do today. We’re going to see how far we can progress uh going through here you know at 46 and stuff. And uh just kill mobs, right? We We got to kill them anyway like all the trash to get wind runes. Might as well kill the trash to get wind runes while we are uh capable of uh actually getting experience to level up. So, maybe a double double uh double dipping there, but uh with this build I do not use uh bard bard songs. I’m not even buffed, so I’ll fix that here in a second. Uh we’re not using the bard songs traditionally and that’s probably like a a detriment to the build in all honesty. Uh but it it’s it’s probably fine, right? Like the the shaman dots are pretty strong and being able to control those is a little bit better. Plus, you don’t have to worry about the melody locking you into something now. We’re still charming, so we’ll charm one of these thunder spirits as we go around the area here. Buffs rebuff and do that quick buff is so great. And [music] uh I picked up cannibalization at some point, so we’re at like 291 AA now. Uh so, we’re pretty far in like to uh what we’re doing, right? So, it’s pretty good. But uh I’ve been I I spent a few days working on uh infrastructure if you will, right? So, I I’ve been for the last year I’ve been using Spotify to play stream beats. And uh every so often for some reason one of the songs get flag flagged for uh copyright or something on YouTube, right? And it it’s been a real frustration, right? You know, I was using Spotify to play it just because it’s it simplifies the process. Uh but today I’ve I’ve un-simplified the process. I made my own music player that’s very specific to my workflow, right? It has an OBS over over overlay, this kind of thing that goes right here when I when I have it on, but you know, you can download all the StreamBeats music for free off their their website, right? It’s copyright-free music. And you know, I brought it all in. I got all the album art and I So I got this little thing going here. And it will auto-detect OBS running and recording, puts it into to safe mode. So if I were to put in uh um like say I had like you know, a Blink-182 album or something like that I had, you know, ripped from a CD or something, right? Put it in here. Uh it would not play that. It would it would prevent me from playing it and what I also had what I had Claude do, right? Like I had Claude make this whole thing in like an afternoon. Uh I had it take all of these albums, turn them into music videos, if you will, and then I uploaded those to verify they were all safe on Content ID, so. Just a little workflow thing for me to simplify that whole uh that that whole process I’ve been going through because you’ll you’ll know in some videos either the music’s really loud or in some videos the music goes away completely because it was Content ID and I had to re-upload the video. And this way I can control I can control the gain completely. Like there’s some stuff built into it to completely control the gain of the song. So, they they kind of stay normalized at the same baseline to my voice. And theoretically, it’s going to work. I You know, I I’ve been doing a lot of post-processing over the years to uh you know, one boost my voice over over the music and then lower the music under my voice and then, you know, tweak the game sound, right? Like, they’re all recorded to different channels. And uh you know, it’s a little different in Windows, I suppose, for you know, for that you know, setting all that up, but uh I got a whole whole thing set up here in Linux now, and it’s it’s actually pretty it’s it’s pretty working pretty good. So, I’m happy with that. I just, you know, moved it to its own thing. I’ll probably, you know, like if anybody wants to use it, right? Like, I doubt anybody does. Like, it’s you know, you probably write code your own in like an afternoon, too. But, if you want to use it, I will probably publish it to GitHub once I’m uh once I have it set. All you got to do is download the music and uh point it to the folder, right? So, that’s all you got to do there. But, you know, so far, so good. I’ve uh hoping it it solves it solves that problem for me that I was having completely with uh you know, with random copyrighted music because it seems like Spotify when the playlist ends, right? So, I played the entirety of Steam Steam Stream Beats. Like, through you know, like days of just letting it sit, right? I would, you know, just let the music play in the background. I at all at all at all times. And then I when I log in, you know, play, the music’s playing and then, you know, whatnot. It’s going. But, since it is going into other albums that are not copyright free, it kind of messes that all up that whole, you know, lazy workflow that I have. Uh so it’s definitely uh definitely nice there. And then uh you know, I built these maps with Claude. So it reads all the zone files, builds the maps, and uh you know, some of these are a little weird, right? But like I haven’t I haven’t done any real processing on those yet to uh be like, “Hey, that doesn’t look right.” But with the way EQ Legends does the auto Z and stuff, it kind of makes sense because these are, you know, not ramps, if you will, but they’re elevation changes. And it looks really cool when you go to like uh East Commons or Freeport, right? You can see all the different little bumps and stuff like that. Like like the like these are all these triangles are literally these triangles and stuff. So it’s pretty cool. Let’s see. Is that all? All right. So we’ve been killing these, right? We’re killing all the trash. Uh you know, 1.5% per. All right. I guess she auto attacks. I don’t know what I did there, but there we go. So we’re going to go ahead and venom of the snake her, probably slow her. And Let’s do Odium. And uh let’s do cannibalize to get some mana back. Slugs to get some healing back, and scourge, right? Or scourge. There we go. So you can see all that just starts adding up. Now the venom of the snake, right? It’s you use it for a long time. I don’t remember when we got 37. We’ve been using this spell for a while, and it is a I like I like I use never killed the imps and soul bees as as fast with, you know, using this build here, right? Like I was I was able to clear the whole thing cuz I was So, what I’m doing is I’m going on through a lot of zones and like name labeling all of the the named mobs, right? Since they’re all static spawns now, so I can just walk up to them, name them. I you know, I spent a lot of time in Soul bees, so got that one done. So, we got a belt of in inequity, which is this one. I’m going to go ahead So, I what I’ve done also is I can take screenshots of items and uh the AA will AI will process it. Now, I like I’m going off on a lot of tangents here, which I know some people don’t like, but I surely don’t care. Um and I take I’m taking these this data, right? Let me see if I can bring this in. All right, let’s bring you in right here, right? So, I’ve started building this. This is from all my parsed data. And I I was like, “Hey Claude, let’s turn this into something, you know, visual, right?” And [music] you know, it’s a little slow cuz it’s local and it’s it’s still using SQLite. Um but like some of this data like is just very specific to me, but uh we’ll you know, we’re going to clean all that up here soon. But, if I click on phosphorus powder, right? So, this is the item that’s used unlock um >> [music] >> frog locks, right? So, like you it’s might be an item that people want to, you know, know where to get, right? You get it from uh dead mobs in uh Guk, right? So, you kind of see So, is there more down here? Yeah. And then, you know, if we go here, see if I can find a Oh, wait, go back. That didn’t work. Go here to him. And we can see his drops, right? So, this is the ghoul lord, right? So, you can see his faction, what it gives, and how many times we saw these different, you know, faction gains and stuff like that. The difficulties we fought him on. And over time, you know, you can see here on tier one, you know, difficulty one, we see you know, 11,000 hit points, tier two, 13,000 hit points. You know, biggest hit. So, you know, we’re tracking this information over time. You can see here like how it, you know, the damage it, you know, as I fought it at different levels. Uh and stuff like that. And you can see here his items, right? So, like skull-shaped war boot. Right? This one doesn’t have a thumbnail yet, so that one’s not as useful as you the short short short sword has one yet. No, it doesn’t have one yet. Let me see if I find an item with a thumbnail. Cuz we we got a custom thumbnail. See here, smooth [music] Let’s do fine steel rapier. That’s got one. So, you see we’re generating these thumbnails, right? Now, if you know on my blog hamishj.com, we we do have some thumbnails that are generated from [music] the EverQuest Legends Wiki. Um but now I want to kind of bring all that in so I’m not using the Wiki for everything. Because every time I use it, I find something wrong or not. And all of this information here is 100% pure fact, right? Like it’s 100% fact that this minor mote of minor potential can drop from a Gnoll Elite in Blackburrow Awakened One, right? These are all facts from parses, right? So, things like that. Now, one thing we did get in here is [music] the scaling. So, you can scale this. And you can see here the damage changes. Backstab damage doesn’t change, so uh you know, and then it says what sockets and what things unlock and stuff like that. So, this is this is a thing that’s a work in progress. Uh it’s going to probably be db.eqrng.com when I’m all said and done with it, but I’m trying to make it like a Wowhead kind of experience for EverQuest. Uh now, I’m splitting EverQuest and EverQuest Legends. Now, they do overlap some stuff here. I was able to import some recipes to do some testing there, but there is some overlap. Now, one thing that is pretty interesting that I was able to get it to do, right? Like so, EverQuest Legends is you know, a specific you know, specific information from you know, EverQuest, right? [music] And see, I think fiery ore is a good example, right? So, you can see this fiery ore, it drops in Sol A from all these different things, but in other games, we have this link here to the recipe in EverQuest, right? So, I don’t know if this I don’t have confirmation this works in EverQuest Legends yet, but then we have this recipe here to make forge fire brand weapons, right? So, it’s pretty interesting. Um you know, I’m going to put you know, it’s going to be published on that you know, that website eventually as I get it done. But, uh I don’t plan on putting ads or anything on it, so it’s it’s like 100% 100% uh resource. You know, I’m going to be using it to generate item tooltips for uh my blog and stuff like that. Uh the hamikje.com. Uh and the maps, so to to bring this all back to where we started, the maps uh they’re not integrated here yet, but they will be integrated here and they’ll show like where all the names and stuff drop or spawn in the zone. Those will also be used in my blog. And the reason I, you know, I’m doing my own maps and everything is because, you know, I don’t know the copyright or I’m like dying here. I don’t know the copyright, right? Like I don’t know who, you know, like how how that works for uh you know, being able to use someone else’s maps and then, you know, redistribute those on my website. So, building my own maps >> [music] >> from uh you know, the zone data, which makes it factual, right? Like it’s it’s an actual fact, not, you know, >> [music] >> my opinionated view of what I see here, right? So, kind of something I’m working there. But, uh definitely uh definitely fun. Like I have all the zone data, you know, I’ve I’ve been parsing for for EverQuest, right? And being able to bring that into uh a little bit better of a uh you know, interface and stuff is kind of a the goal there, but like every time I take a picture, that item will get parsed, you know, eventually, not that one, this one. And can’t misplace Now, if I loot them, I can export them and get the item IDs of the real item, uh which is just another uh another thing to do there, but if I like, you know, prime the log, it jumps my inventory, which my inventory is just full of like random stuff from Soul Peak cuz I was trying to get the item I use. And stuff like that, but it seems to be uh it seems to be a pretty good process. Obviously, it’s it’s screenshot heavy, but it’s not manual data entry heavy, which is is, I believe, how like all the other websites do it, but uh this one should be it. 100% free, no ads is where I’m going with that. Um you know, I make the videos, YouTube puts ads on stuff, so I don’t I don’t feel like I need to uh double-dip the ads, if you will. You know, I don’t [laughter] feel like I need to put YouTube ads plus website ads plus, you know, blog ads, any of that, right? Like, it’s it’s all to it’s all to drive traffic for the the uh the uh what are they called? Uh videos, right? So, that’s the uh that’s the whole process there. So, definitely uh something that grants to Monty on hidden 45. Uh protector of the sky, let’s not kill him. Yeah, it looks like we’re about to lose our little pet here. You literally just have the chanter for charm, the cleric for complete heal. The sky bow at level 15, you can do shock bolts and soul beam. Wow. That is crazy. Going to have to try that. That is I keep I keep hearing about these these crazy enchanter builds and uh stuff like that. So that is going to be like one of the things we do next. I think that’s everything, right? I don’t see any more of these these guys. So let’s uh let’s blow this guy. And I’m going to turn him around. I’m going to Can I not rain poison on him? All right. And uh I forgot the I forgot to do Protector of the Skies spawn spot. Oh, that’s funny. And we’ll get him we’ll get him next. But, uh definitely uh something useful there. There we go. And healings. So, you can see here uh the map is it’s got like all the elevation, right? So, you know, to me, I like it. Uh some people might not. I do plan on putting the tool to generate the maps. I still need to check with Angelina if I can publish on GitHub the maps. Uh they said I could use the icons and when I asked and, you know, as long as it’s not for profit, right? Now, I’m going to ask if I can, you know, publish a map that’s generated from the uh you know, the derived geometry, right? Uh cuz technically, it would be, you know, like everything everything is their copyright, right? So, it’s very uh it’s a very thin line of what, you know, what you know, they allow. So, it’s a lot of uh you know, got to ask to make sure kind of thing before I uh continue publishing that, but if if I get the green light, I’ll put the the actual maps you can download on there, but uh it is uh definitely uh like some of the maps just look so much cooler to me. Like, that’s and like I I don’t know what to tell say there, but uh obviously, the the thing I’m missing is the labeling and stuff like that. And if I can put them on GitHub or something like that, then I can accept pull requests for uh you know, new labels and stuff like that. Uh I plan on getting all the named mobs in Legends and you know, working my way as we do Lothar with you know, that one cuz the maps are the zones are the exact same. Like the zones are the exact same so we’ll be able to uh we’ll be able to bring those in from uh from those two. Cleric’s Center mean mean not sure why. mean All right. Let’s see here. But you know, that’s that’s kind of like the you know, the goal where I’m you know, planning at. I wish I knew where these labels came from though. They might be on the base zone. Let me see here. We’re going to do a video um We’ll do a video of you know, playing this guy video that is more of a guide. This is more or less just me having fun right now. Um and I’ll show how to like pull all these things solo. And uh a little bit different there, but uh typically I clear most things just to try to get some of the items I’m missing. So, like if I do all classes ready to turn in, right? I can go get the rogue dagger. I can get whatever the hell this necro ring is and shadow knight shoulders. So, you know, it’s kind of nice there, you know, uh everything. Yeah, so I can you know, kind of steal that, but uh you know, I plot all the quests. Like every time I hail something, you know, there might be text that comes up and stuff like that. So, we bring all that in so we can verify it to turn those into quests. Wow, this guy is taking forever to kill. And stuff like that. Tracks all my experience. Like uh you see here. Like the top this Gaz knight here uh 7%. That’s the highest highest experience I’ve seen uh you know, above level 10. So, you know, interesting [music] things there. Soleis 12 AAs an hour using a potion. Uh crushed bone is 500 500% experience at level 10 and plus, you know, per hour. So, that’s like five levels an hour. Uh depending on how fast you uh are able to actually kill the things. Can I Can I get you? But uh you know, I I’m kind of just having fun. Oh, we got two. All right. Let me get you slowed. What How long are these things? 54? I could probably charm one of these. Uh let’s just dot them up. Let’s Let’s face them. I’m in I’ve been in defensive mode this whole time, so I don’t have to pay attention. But uh definitely Like this is a strong build. Like I have not been able to kill Kaz’rogal D4 with the druid a second time. And I truly don’t know why. I’m Every time I do it, I’m getting my ass beat so hard that I’m like, what is Like I’m doing something wrong. And I do a warm-up, right? I warm up I do zero through three before I try it four. And uh that’s holding me up from making my final video cuz I’m not sure like, you know, I don’t Is it not capable of D4 anymore? Like Like I don’t know what happened from the first week to the second week. So, something’s there I’m I’m trying to to uh deal with. But, I’ve also gotten improved healing three and improved damage three since uh I I last tried. And I believe I believe today is Tuesday, so there should be a reset. Um and stuff. And I need I need to spend my tokens. What can we spend those? That’s already 10. That’s five. Do I have anything six? Do I have anything six? There’s a five. Ugh. All right. You can still pop up and see them cuz they the auto uh Z stuff, but it’s it’s actually useful useful information when you’re fighting you know, you’re going through like the uh the the zones that that are not really flat. Plus the the bard all the bard stuff is mana free. But if you’re playing a shaman, you have to break melody to slow, and so it’s like almost worth it just to go all in on shaman. Uh and stuff like that, so. Your uh you know, your mileage will vary on how you want to play your how you want to play your character, but to me this has been working pretty well. Pretty well indeed. So, that is just uh you know, how it is there, but uh you know, probably not the best experience. We’re probably going to hit up Fear. Uh I really want to actually just go back to Hate, honestly, because I really want to get my warrior armor into the plus seven range so I can start upgrading that weekly. Uh but, I want to go to Fear because I want Paladin armor uh because we are going to unlock Paladin very soon and continue with the Paladin uh Paladin monk shaman Paladin monk enchanter builds and try those out.
