Frostreaver Ruleset

Hello and welcome. So today the 27th Frost River is launching. This is the newest uh TLP server for EverQuest. And they put out this nice FAQ on all the rules. So let’s go over that real quick. So expansion unlock information first up. And I’ll be calling this server Frosty uh from this point on. Um standard uh Scars of Velious launch. So that means we’re going to have Kunark, standard classic zone, and Scars of Velious available when the server opens. Expansions will unlock every 8 weeks after Planes of Power. The server will continue to unlock until live. Uh Beast Lords Berserkers will be available at launch. I will be personally playing a Beast Lord until I get to 60. And then I’m going to try I’m going to try Bard. Gates of Discord will unlock faster. Legacy of Keisha will unlock lock with Planes of Power. Prophecy of Ro will unlock with Depths of Dark Hollow. Dragons of Norrath will unlock with Omens of War. And then we got some dates here. Uh Ruins of Kunark and Velious launches today 5:25. >> [laughter] >> Is today 5:25? Is that so? It’s 27th up there. I’m All right. So uh Um 20s 26. So All right. So that’s going to be on launch, right? And then in October we’re going to get Luclin. And then in February we’re going to get Planes of Power and Keisha. And then uh 2027 we’re going to get that. And then so on and so on. I’m not going to read all these out, but uh at 2030 uh November Thanks so right before Thanksgiving we’re going to get Shard of Nightmares and Ro. Uh it’s going to be fun time. Now Resource Hunter. Uh this is going to be on the server. So this means each zone has a random chance to become a hot zone of some sort today, and I’m going to show another website here in a second to uh visualize some of that here. Uh I’m going to give a little other resources here, but uh in general, so you know, it’s the same thing. It’s going to be like that. But, this server also has random loot, so we’re going to get some crazy stuff. So, the bonuses you can get with these, you know, random hot zones increased experience, AA experience, loot, coin drops, rare spawns, reduced spawn times, and more, right? Uh the the website I’m going to show in a second will go way more into that. Let’s go into that one right here. So, uh the guy who made fangbrinker.zone, which uh let’s click on the fangbrinker one in your resource owner, you can kind of see like how this looks, right? Uh experience hot zones today for uh fangbrinker are all these, right? AA zones, coin zones, etc. etc. Now, he’s uh he’s done the exact same thing here for frostrvier.zone. Uh obviously, the server is not up yet. He’s also got some rankings here for progression and guilds. So, uh what was this guy’s name? Uh I don’t see his name, but uh definitely a service, and you can report your own things to get added to this. Uh why doesn’t he not have a name on here? >> [laughter] >> Uh there’s a Discord, a Kofi page, and there we go, winterxl. There we go, we got to mouse over his Patreon to see that. winterxl. So, uh really nice service he’s providing here. Uh he’s not doing ads free. Now, I I appreciate all the websites that do ads free. I use ad blocker. I use ad blocker on my YouTube. I use them, so I don’t I don’t blame anybody for using ad blocker, but all the websites I make, I make them ads free. Uh and I really appreciate this guy making it ads free. So, uh obviously, uh I’ll link this down in the below, but you’ll be able to get your hot zones and all your stuff here. Now, you’re going to that’s going to be the leveling experience you’re going to probably take is, you know, getting your friends and going to the zones that have the probably experience at first and then, you know, in Luclin you’re going to want the AA experience and experience and then once you’re max level, I would go for the rare spawn zones to try to get your all your names and stuff for your gear. But, that’s that’s how I would do it. If you can double double dip in some way, I would do that also. So, just keep that in mind, but you can see here all the different zones, faction bonuses. Like, you know, you when you get to that point where, you know, you’re doing the factions for Velious, you know, one in the hot zone, go do it. You’re going to get more faction, right? You need to get the hunter in these zones here, you know, definitely that’s when to go do it. So, all right. So, hopefully that makes sense. If not, ask some questions and we can talk about it on the comments or on Discord. And then legacy characters, right? So, this is an XP bonus to get enabled. Legacy characters allows the same character characters on the same account to receive a semi-permanent experience bonus. When players reach max level for the current era, their character will receive a experience bonus on that. So, when you have one character, it’s 10%, two is 20%, so on and so on until you get to 10 characters to max level. And I believe this includes personas. It doesn’t say it here, but I believe that’s something that it does include. That was hot fixed in when they did the SoN Yelinak. When Luclin launched, evolving rule set, right? So, the server is going to launch with evolving rules, right? So, it launches already in Scars of Velious. So, we’re we’re starting with the classic, you know, whatever. That’s a legacy character, right? We’re going to get 125% loot. So, there’s a 25% chance you’re going to get extra loot. What does that mean? Uh, it’s an extra item on the thing, right? If you played on Viniki, uh, that had double loot. So, every time you you killed something, you got two of everything. Uh, this one, 25% chance you’re going to get something else, right? So, a little bit more loot there. Uh, faction modifier 200%. So, this is fantastic, right? You kill something, uh, you’re going to get more faction for it. So, you’re going to be able to level up your factions a lot easier. And that that’s really important in Invelious because there’s armor uh, tied to factions for the dragons or the giants, depending on which you like. So, uh, definitely fun there. And then in Lucklin, you get 25% AA modifier, Planes of Power’s coin. And then you can see here, when you get all the way back, you know, it only shows Knights of Shadow, but uh, I’m assuming these these are going to keep going up, right? At Knights of Shadow, there’s going to be a 400% NPC spawn modifier at all times. Now, what does that mean? Uh, if you think about it, if you played during extra life, which has a 300%, I believe, um, or it’s 200% named modifier, you’re getting names all the time. Uh, in Knights of Shadow, you’re going to be getting names pretty much every spawn. Uh, it’s going to make the game feel a lot better. You’re going to be able to gear your characters up, your character, your characters, whatever you’re playing, faster. You’re going to have a 200% experience modifier, 200% AA modifier, and uh, 200% uh, item evolving experience modifier, right? Now, this is end game. This is like 2030, right? Like this this this this is in the future. Uh, you could sleep on the server and you would you you wouldn’t have to worry about it until like 2030, right? Cuz that’s when the last lockout is, right? 2030. They all unlock in 2030, right? Hopefully, I’m still alive in 2030, but uh uh you know, if we’re there all you know, playing from the old folks home definitely it’s going to be the uh the the place to be but like like this is going to be a fun server, right? This is going to be you know, my ride and die I think for the rest of my time playing Everquest [laughter] time. I truly think I unless they come up with another rule set that is even crazier than this I I just this is everything I’ve ever wanted uh in a rule set and it’s definitely this is going to be where I’m going to be playing and leveling characters. So this server is also going to come with encounter locking. What is encounter locking? When I tag a mob, it’s my mob. No one else can take that mob unless I slash yell. Uh it’s pretty nice. You keep Everquest Legends has that built in and uh it is definitely a nice feature. Uh it it really helps with pulling and stuff like that because people will sit in front of where you’re pulling and this allows you to pull mobs over groups and not have to worry about it. Now, if they heal you, it’ll attack them and they can’t do anything about it. So uh that’s their fault. Now, this server will also have challenge achievements. Challenge achievements are where you can do a raid at a certain level and you will be able to uh get an achievement for it. And those achievements come with bonuses uh Viniki had illusions Viniki had uh uh clickies and stuff like that, teleports. So those are all going to be available and to make this easier, they added a NPC uh from the priest of Discord that will lower your level. So if you’re level 60 uh and you want to go down to level uh 40 to do like kill Kel’Thuzad with your friends, you can do that now without having to die a thousand times which is another issue is if you have the perks on your account, you’re not going to lose your level. And then you have to sacrifice, and you can only sacrifice down to 46. So, uh definitely uh this will uh be a fun little experience. So, hopefully uh hopefully, you know, we’ll be doing that. I I once I once I’m capable of doing some of these things a little bit easier, uh like with how Venekor here, right? You get the ring of scale, and you can do uh get a worm slayer. Once I’m able to do those kind of things, I will be doing free runs. I don’t I don’t charge money. I don’t charge chrono for achievements or anything like that. Uh we’ll be doing those, and maybe we can get a you know, a guild of some sort going. I know a lot of the streamers for Everquest are going to be getting together and forming something. Uh maybe we can do something there as a community and make these achievements achievable for everyone. We’ll see. Free trade. Most gear items, resources can be freely traded in auctions, player vendors, right? Now, the only things that are not free trade are like quest items for epics. That’s like the only thing I can think of that’s not free trade. Everything else is. If you played on If you’re on a V, Mischief, Teek, it’s the same thing. Now, we also have randomized loot. Randomized loot allows us to kill say the King of Cold the Soul the the the Soulseek King, right? The Cobalt King, and get random loot from him. Uh I’m using him as an example cuz I know he can drop the AC ring, the Ancient Cyclops. So, you can get your Journeyman Boots from Sol B. Uh definitely pretty fun. Now, another website, uh this one. Uh this one this one uh I’m a little iffy on it. It’s very AI generated by someone, uh Zulik, I guess is the name. It’s very AI generated. There’s a spreadsheet uh somewhere on I think it’s on my I had linked it on my Discord that someone made. Let me pull that one up, too. Uh append, let’s see here, spreadsheet, there we go. So, this is the Mischief one. This one was made by who is this made by? Bobby Bick. Uh he made this one and it’s I think the data that’s in this s- sh- thing here is the same as this, but the concept of this is there’s a bucket. Inside that bucket is a bunch of NPCs, right? So, the key Kinos Aqueduct seems to be a hot zone for this first area. So, if I kill anything in this bucket one, I can get any of this loot, right? So, if I go kill Get away. If I go kill Queen Naisharji, I I can get the giant right tail. I can get a golden locket. I can get a thick black cape, right? Same for the bucket two. If I kill anything in bucket two, I can get any of these items from that. Now, I said the Sul’thau the the Kobold King, right? He is da da da da predator. He is going to be probably bucket There we go. Champion. No. One more, I think. Priest, there we go. King. So, this one right here, this bucket, if I kill the Sul’thau King, I can get a FBSS. If I go to Kedge Keep, I can get any of this stuff, right? So, the options to hunt in zones are multiplied, right? Now, you throw this together with the random loot, right? So, let’s take a look at this. Let’s pick a zone that’s like actually relevant to leveling, right? Karnor’s Castle, 40 to 50, right? So, if we look in the Kunark named bucket, right? Uh we go to Karnor’s Castle, there’s one right there, the Warlord. Bucket eight, but uh bucket nine and bucket 10, right? So, you got a lot of buckets. So, if you go to that zone, you have a lot of options for for loot. And it like it’s done up like expansion, right? So, I can’t go kill the undead jailer and get something from classic, right? It’s all going to be Kunark loot. But, look at all this loot that is in bucket 10. Bucket 10 is a big big bucket. I can get almost anything that I can possibly dream of here. Uh and then you go into bucket 11, which is like the uh I think the super bucket right here. Uh this has um the hierophant cloak, I believe. I thought I saw it in here. No. Yeah, the emperor’s in this one. Uh the ring of stealthy travels in this one. Uh I think bucket 10 has like everything Sibilis and some Chardok stuff. So, uh you if you go to the any of these zones, you can you can pick up those items, right? Karnor’s Castle has a lot of buckets in it. So, that might be a fun zone to go you know, bucket you know, get in there and do. Uh and then this website uh Zelsex Kudex, it has the same kind of data, um but it lets you kind of let’s it’s kind of like more lim- not limited, but uh shows you um uh the stuff, right? And there we go. So, we got Velious names in this and you can see all the different ones and all the different loot they drop, right? Um it’s pretty nice little visual. This this site’s very AI generated. I did see some some issues uh with certain things like, but I think he’s going to he’s going to keep updating this. So, it’s you know uh but, you know, I I don’t have any problem with AI generated stuff personally. So, I don’t really care, but I know some people are uh anti that. So, the randomized loot is going to be fantastic. And I’ll make sure to link all these things here on uh my Discord and make sure to link all these things on my uh uh on the description of this video so you can get to them. Here I’m going to go ahead and copy and paste this one into Discord now before I forget and then pin it. There we go. Yeah, I’ll pin it. All right, so what else do we got? What else do we got? What else do we got? We got everything. We got everything. This This doesn’t end. Early item focuses. Now, typically focus effects on items are not available until until Lucklin. Uh but today we get them all. And if affliction haste, extended affliction, affliction efficiency, spell haste, enhancement haste, extended enhancement, mana preservation, extended range, improved damage, reagent conservation, improved healing, reanimation haste, reanimation efficiency, summoning haste and efficiency. Now, let’s see if I can pull up this one. EQ items. Now, EQ items is a nice one because it show you can click this show all focus items. You can find out where to get these items, right? So, you can see here uh all these items like I say you want improved damage, right? And you want improved damage three. Mask of the Dragon Slayer. Uh that is uh let me see here. Did I set this right? Let’s set this to Valious. Show focus items. There we go. So, Mask of the Dragon Slayer, that I believe is from uh I believe it is from Yelinak, yeah. So, that’s from Yelinak. Uh white dragon scale cloak, that’s from Vox. Uh dragon uh dragon collar or the war dog collar, that is from Charodok. Uh that is from Skyfire, I think. Fire giants, right? So, you can get your items uh and you know, start looking where they are and go farm them, right? And use the random loot to multiply your chances of getting them. All right. Let’s see. What are Agents of Change? That is spawnable raid pick zones. Pick zones are going to be crazy. This is you like So, a lot of people complain because this doesn’t have true box. So, there’s going to be lots more people boxing multiple characters. But, at the same time I think that is going to be a bonus for non-boxing people because there’s going to be more pick zones. And not a lot of people are going to be boxing six characters. It is a lot more effort to box six characters in live in classic than a lot of people realize. Like, I did 12 on one server and it is it is a and that was true box and it was an absolute show. I plan on playing one character and doing going through it that way and just pugging my way to 60 on all of my personas. So, it’ll be crazy. But, we’ll see how it goes. Pick zones you slash pick and you can find a different zone with less people in it, right? This server will have no level item requirements, right? So, what is what does that mean? What does that mean? Here, let’s do let’s do Beast Lord. Let’s do iksar cuz that’s what I’m going to play, right? Let’s search best in slot at level 60. All right. So, let’s see if we can find an item here that’s going to have a level requirement. Most of these don’t Yeah, there we go. So, that Mask of the Vaustating Shadows obviously is not going to be on this on this server because it’s from the tower. But, it has a level requirement of 55. Those are gone on this server. You can wear anything you want at level one. You can twink your characters to your heart’s content with the best loot you can possibly acquire. And have a good time. That is that is that is fun. That is absolute fun. You If you you could probably twink your character enough to do the EverQuest Legends uh uh play through here. Let me move so I don’t get kicked out of the server. Uh but definitely uh things like that. So, like weapons are usually the big big deal here. Uh Scepter of Destruction will be random randomly dropped, so you’ll be able to obtain those for like the lifetime of the server, I believe. Uh let’s see here where there’s a weapon. Yeah, so here we go. Garn’s Rock is smashing, right? This is a Volak loot from the last raid in uh in Velious, right? This has got a 55 level requirement. It’s going to be usable at level 1 16 19. You’re going to have so much fun. I’m going to have so much fun. I’m going to I’m going to try to get two Scepter of Destructions. That’s my That’s my goal. Uh so I can have some fun just running around. Uh let’s see here. Uh there’ll be experience gain equal to live. There’s going to be no PvP. That’s right. So, this is going to be fast. Expect to level to 60 very fast. Expect to level your second character or persona to 60 even faster because you get 10% more, right? So, there’s It’s going to be a while before the next expansion comes out, right? Uh October. So, you have 5 months of uh you know, going through and doing all this. It’s going to be uh well, maybe less, 4 months since we’re at the end of the month now. Uh but uh definitely uh you’re going to have a lot of time to get prepped for the next expansion uh and stuff like that. You don’t not rushed, but you you have all the options here to do achievements, to do everything. There’s This server is going to have a lot of fun uh in my opinion. Uh and I’m not just saying that cuz I I love the game. I I truly think this is going to be a lot of fun. Uh so, definitely there. Uh now, let me see if I got anything else here.
