The Iksar Start

The Iksar start in EverQuest Legends, run head to head against the Ogre. No cross-continent run, regen that tanks yellow mobs for you, and Skeleton Lrodd dead at level 5 in 1 hour 39.

July 23, 2026

The other half of the start comparison. Same Warrior / Druid, same route, same two hour budget, this time as an Iksar. The Ogre needed 1 hour 53 to reach Befallen from Oggok. The Iksar had Skeleton Lrodd dead at level 5 in 1 hour 39, because Iksar spawn next to North Ro instead of a continent away from it. Same caveat as the Ogre run: this was the pre-order beta, so the character is long gone, but the route holds.

BenchmarkOgre: 1:53 to Befallen
ResultSkeleton Lrodd dead at 1:39
Level at the kill5, not 6
VerdictThis is my start

The Setup

Same character, fair test.

  • Iksar male, Warrior primary, Druid secondary, exactly matching the Ogre run so the comparison means something.
  • Bard is the planned third, and this is what I intend to play on retail: Druid first for the ports, then likely Shaman at 50.
  • Same benchmark: two hours, get to Befallen, kill Skeleton Lrodd.
  • Load the modern UI skin and copy your layout off another character before you do anything else.

The other half: see The Ogre Start for the run this is measured against, and My Plan for Everquest Legends for where the character goes from Befallen onward.

Tutorial Speedrun

Identical to the Ogre run, with one optimization.

  • You are here for the boots. Outside, they cost about 20 platinum from the adventuring merchant.
  • Pre-buy the package before you walk up to the cave. This is the improvement over the Ogre run, and it saves you a round trip.
  • Hail the grandfather, say help, then fragile ones.
  • Kill a fragile one and a rambunctious one, hand in both heads, and merge the two pairs of boots.
  • You leave with roughly 70% of level 1 and nothing else worth staying for.
  • Hand your Warrior note in at the Iksar city for a 174 ratio one-hander, better than anything you are carrying.

Build the boot hotkey now: hide corpses, forage, auto inventory, then /useitem 19 for the feet slot. Type /useitem on its own to list the slot numbers.

Why Iksar Is Faster

Iksar spawn where the Ogre was running to.

  • The Iksar encampment sits on North Ro. The Ogre's entire Feerrott to Innothule to South Ro to Oasis trek does not exist for you.
  • You are in your leveling zone from minute one. That accounts for most of the 14 minute gap between the two runs, and this one was not even rushing.
  • No metal bit detour to buy Druid spells, because you are already standing at the vendors.
  • Unlocking Iksar is cheap, somewhere around 200 platinum, and you can turn fine steel junk into the ore. The Ogre unlock is gated behind months of foraging or a purchase.

Regen Does the Tanking

The Iksar racial is better than it reads.

  • Unyielding stance doubles your health regen. At level 6 that is 4 base going to 8.
  • Yellow mobs hit for 3 or 4. At 8 regen you are close to breaking even, and I fought two yellow pumas at once without casting a single heal.
  • On the Ogre I was chain healing through the same content.
  • Poison shuts it off. A rattlesnake or asp takes you to negative regen, so swap to Divine and heal through those instead.
  • It compounds later: Chloroplast, the Warrior AA that returns 1% of your health as regen, and the Rubicite Breastplate all stack onto this.
  • Iksar also start with more fire resist, which matters at Nagafen, and Warriors get extra magic resist on top.

Levels 1 to 5: The Route

Short, because you start in the right place.

  • Level 1 to 3 in North Ro, or drop into East Freeport if everything around you cons too high, which it will at first.
  • Pumas assist armadillos. That pairing killed me twice before I worked it out.
  • Kill a fire beetle early for the eye, which gives you Flame Lick.
  • At 3 to 4, head for West Commons through the tunnel and camp the giant spiders.
  • Pull back to the flat ground by the wall, away from the hill giants and griffins that path through the open area.
  • Pull with snare, since the tutorial boots drop the moment you act.
  • Befallen instance at level 5. Normal difficulty is plenty.

The lesson from both runs: do not linger anywhere before North Ro. Level 1 to 3 close to the spawn, then go.

Cleave Arrives at Level 5

Not 8 or 9, which changes the early game.

  • Cleave unlocks at 5 and hits up to four mobs in front of you.
  • I missed it entirely on the Ogre run, so that run was fighting without it. Worth knowing if you are comparing the two videos.
  • The game does not advertise it well. Watch your ability list at 5.
  • It pairs with the Warrior innate: 5% melee mitigation, 5% extra crit, and berserker frenzy below 35% health turning crits into crippling blows.
  • Improved Bash later is why the two-handed build wants a shield alternative. Without a shield an Iksar only has kick, since there is no slam.

The Stun Question

The one real argument for starting Ogre.

  • Out in the world, stuns barely registered. Through the whole open world stretch I noticed one, maybe two.
  • Inside Befallen they are constant. Multiple mobs at once means broken casts, interrupted heals, and a visibly draining endurance bar.
  • So the Ogre perk is real but narrow: it matters in dungeon pulls, not on the way there.
  • Steadfast Will beats it anyway. The AA is 100% stun immunity from all directions against melee. The Ogre racial is frontal only.
  • My answer: take the AA. Buy AA potions if you want it sooner, and do not pick a race around a problem that goes away.

The Experience Cap, Confirmed

Same ceiling as the Ogre run, with more kills behind it.

  • 8.9% per kill is the ceiling. Level 8, level 9, and level 11 mobs all paid the same 8.9%.
  • Three to four levels above you is the sweet spot. Beyond that you are spending longer for identical experience.
  • Even cons pay about 2%, so blues are a poor level grind.
  • But blues win on AA: roughly 2% AA experience against 1.3% from the higher stuff.
  • Difficulty buys loot, not experience. Higher difficulty drops higher plus items that merge up faster.

If your numbers differ, I want to hear it. This is in-my-head math from one run, not a datamine.

Befallen at Level 5

Same destination, one level earlier.

  • The first pull is three yellows and it is the hardest moment in the run. Everything after it is easier.
  • Fight from a corner to cut down the knockback. It does nothing for the stuns.
  • Work the small side rooms off the entrance, the rats and the necromancers. The necromancers die fast, which is what makes the room work.
  • Skeleton Lrodd died at level 5, at the 1 hour 39 mark, giving the same capped 8.9%.
  • He drops a one-handed blunt almost every kill, plus boots or gloves, so he is worth recycling.
  • 62 AC by level 6 off nothing but drops from the entrance rooms.

Come back later: at 25 to 30 this whole zone is trivial. Re-clear it at D4 then and take the upgrades before you move on.

Spend Motes on Spells

Seven by the end of the run, and gear is the wrong place for them.

  • Spells carry across every character you ever build. Gear from this level range does not survive the next zone.
  • Light Healing is the one to start with. Every Druid, Shaman, Cleric, and Paladin you level uses it through 19, so that upgrade follows you everywhere.
  • Skip leveling weapons. The Ebon Scythe you are about to get replaces what you are holding, and the Knight's bastard sword replaces that.
  • Only mote gear that stays, which in practice means Plane of Hate and Plane of Sky.

Odds and Ends

Things worth knowing that do not fit anywhere else.

  • Camouflage at Druid 4 gets you through cities you are KOS to.
  • Athletics raises your run speed as it climbs, eventually rivaling Journeyman's Boots.
  • Loot is personal. What you see on the mob is not what you get, which remains my biggest complaint about the system.
  • Invoke Lightning arrives around 4 or 5 and only hits things actually engaged with you.
  • Damage shield at Druid 7, and with a Bard damage shield song stacked on it later you are looking at roughly 15 points of reflect.

The Verdict

Iksar, with one asterisk.

  • Iksar is my start. Faster to Befallen, faster to the kill, and one level lower when I got there.
  • The regen carried the run in a way the Ogre's extra stats did not.
  • Stuns are the only real Ogre argument, and Steadfast Will solves them outright.
  • The asterisk: if the Ogre unlock stays behind months of foraging, I would start Ogre purely to unlock the race for free, then switch to Iksar as soon as the metal bits allow.
  • Honestly, any race can do this. Pick the class you actually want to play, pick your secondary, and go.

The Iksar Start at a Glance

  1. Tutorial: pre-buy the package, hail the grandfather, kill a fragile one and a rambunctious one, merge both pairs of boots. Leave at about 70% of level 1.
  2. Iksar city: hand in your class note for the 174 one-hander.
  3. Level 1 to 3 in North Ro, or East Freeport if everything cons too high. Do not fight pumas and armadillos together.
  4. Kill a fire beetle for the eye and Flame Lick.
  5. Run Unyielding stance. Doubled regen means yellow mobs barely dent you, so save your mana.
  6. Level 3 to 5 in West Commons, giant spiders pulled back to the wall, away from hill giants and griffins.
  7. Target three to four levels above you. Experience caps at 8.9% regardless.
  8. Cleave unlocks at 5. Do not miss it.
  9. Befallen instance at 5, normal difficulty. Survive the opening three yellows, fight from a corner, work the side rooms.
  10. Skeleton Lrodd at 5, then keep recycling him for the one-handed blunt.
  11. Spend motes on spells, Light Healing first.

Hello and welcome to uh EverQuest Legends beta. Today we’re going to do the XR start. Yes. So I made a video. I called it the best start and everybody told me try ogre. And um we did that. There was should be a video previous to this video about the ogre start. And this one is going to be the XR start. So let’s go ahead and create a character and uh do this. Now, I took us 2 hours uh of nonserious play to get from Oglock to befallen killing the skeleton rod. Right. So, that is kind of our uh our benchmark. We we’re looking to beat and uh let’s see how this goes. Now, we’re going to go XR male. Going to call him Voxil. We’re going to do the tutorial. We’re going to start as a warrior. We’re going to do the same warrior druid that we did with the uh sham uh with the with the ogre, right? Uh just so it’s fair. And this is exactly what I plan to play when uh the game comes out live, right? I’m going to start with druid so I can port around uh right away. And then I’m going to switch to uh probably shaman main at 50 uh and continue my shadow knight series, right? like the way I was going with that, but uh we’re going to go into the tutorial. We’re going to speedrun the tutorial as fast as possible to get the boots. Once we have the boots, we’re done with the tutorial. All right, looks good. Druid and warrior stats are good. Appearance, let’s give ourselves green eyes cuz that is the I never saw those black eyes before. There we go. Green eyes. I like green eyes. And uh let’s enter the world. So, this one is on I think Riverval is the server I picked. I don’t know. Doesn’t really matter. These all are getting deleted in like a day anyway. So, let’s see how this goes. Yeah. Uh it’s Sunday. It’s going to get deleted on Tuesday. So, let’s see how it goes here. Now, we’re going to, you know, like we might it might be faster, right? It’s going to be faster probably since we’re already in North Row, right? That’s kind of where I I I spent a little time in the ogre video [\h__\h] around in Oglock this area like F rotat and stuff like that. And I just kept getting killed over and over by bears and I thought it was waste of time to continue that and I moved to North Row. I feel like North Row is the premium uh place to go. All right, so we’re going to go Wait, wait, wait. Before we do anything, before we do anything, what is this? I have 1 hour of enduring breath. How the hell did I get 1 hour of enduring breath? All right, we need to fix this though. This is the interface. We’re going to load the UI skin up modern. We did this in the ogre video. And then we’re going to copy the layout from uh the ogre video, too. We’re going to go here, copy layout, and voxil aug. Right, that should put us right back exactly where we were. I don’t even think we got any new spells. Level six. There we go. Letter for Doug. And everything looks to be good. All right, we’re going to hand him the letter. Good. Let’s talk. We got to go over here. Can we Can we pre- buy the supplies? Oh, yeah. We can. Perfect. I didn’t even think about that before. All right. There’s an optimization for you uh on your way up to the old man in the cave. Um pre- buy pre- buy this stuff. I have no idea where this enduring breath came from. It is uh kind of hilarious. Maybe they just give it to you in the tutorial just so you don’t die. All right. Hail him. Help him. Supplies. Probably don’t even need to do that. Just get in the box. There we go. And gave us the boots. Put those on our feet. There we go. Perfect. Now we got a little bit more run speed for a few minutes. That’s the whole point of getting these, but we’re going to finish the uh get the uh the experience from the dude over there on the other side. Hail him. And then uh war work. And right over here, his grandfather is up in this cave. Um little graveyard, I guess. Right over here. And we can hail him. Say help them. Fragile ones. Right. All right. So now we’re going to fight. Uh, let’s do striker stance, I think, is what is what is good right here. And then we’re going to do bash. Well, we can do kick. I think is all we can do. We don’t have slam as axar, so that’s fine. And we don’t have a shield, so we can’t bash. There we go. And there’s the first one. There’s a fragile. Now, I believe the ogre like one-shot these. There’s another fragile. Come on. We get 11% per. All right. So, come grab that one. That gives us two of each, right? So, one of those, one of these gets us another pair of boots. One of those, one of these gets us another pair of boots. We open up the boots, place the boot in, merge, place the other boot in, and merge. Right. Excellent. Now, we can get rid of all those. We can just uh ignore that because we don’t need it anymore. and we’re off. Now, uh outside of the tutorial, you can buy the boots for uh I think 20 platinum from the adventuring merchant, but uh you know, if you don’t want to do that, do it here. Uh we almost got we got about the same experience as we did on the ogre. I think it was about 70% of level one. All right, send me off. I don’t think there’s anything else in there to do, but uh it’s not necessary. There’s no achievements or anything, so no point. All right, now we’re into the best city in the game. Now, we started as an ogre. I mean, not an ogre, as a warrior. So, we need to hand in our warrior note, which is this one right here. Hand in. Now, he gives us a 174 one-handed primary weapon. Uh, which is better than that. We’re going to put the other weapon in our off hand. Uh because it is uh I think we can dual wield to level one though. Ogre got dual wield pretty early. So I don’t know what level we get it, but uh there we are. All right, so we’re here in North Row already and uh life is going to be good. So let’s run down here. Oh, let’s do this first pick. Now this is something someone suggested. We we do uh we pick, right? We go into difficulty four at level one. Now, uh we’ll try it out here in North Row. I think we were level two when we did it with the other one, but uh this should work. Now, you’ll know we have no charges to make instances yet. So, uh, we have, you know, like it’s pretty much 1 hour to kill until level five so that we can, uh, so that we can, uh, get into, uh, up a fallen instance at level five, right? So, we’re going to go up here uh, to this area right here to kind of do this a little a little bit uh, easier. These mobs are going to be a little bit higher level up here. Now, we’re still level one, so we’re going to have to fight like the lowest of the low, right? Like maybe these not these dune spiders. They’re level four. We might even have to go into East Freeport. I’m not 100% sure. I haven’t tried this at difficulty four at level one. Armadillos, spiders. I’m seeing nothing lowle here. Right. So, let’s go over here to this armadillo. He’s level two, so it should work. Should get us enough experience. Uh it looked like like 8.999 is like the max experience you can get from my testing from uh some stuff. Like I got 14% there, but I have I never got more than 8.99 from a kill. So not 100% sure how that works. But uh here we are. should look at melee. [groaning] There we go. 8.9. We have to be very careful what we choose. Now, we want to kill a fire beetle as soon as possible. We might have to go into the other zone to get one. I don’t know if these uh I don’t know if these scarabs drop it. Oh, I don’t even have a fireball. Never mind. I just said it. There we go. Now I have uh burst of flame on two and heal on three. So I can heal myself like that. It’s pretty much a comp complete heal at this level. Now we’re running in offensive stance. So we can uh so we can get a little bit more uh healing. What is this? J. So this gives us eight regen if we go into unyielding stance. effectively doubling our health regen. There we go. Level two. Burst to flame. Oh, okay. The pumas uh like to assist. All right. Well, we’re not going to you’re going to die. The pumas assist armadillos. I did not uh did not expect that. But uh can we heal through this? No, not enough to heal through that. All right, we’ll die there and we’ll go ahead and run back. Now, if you want to know how I’m clicking my boots, uh I have this hotkey here. Hide corpse. Always do ability forage. And uh there we go. We’re getting jacked again by another puma. I don’t think we’re going to be able. These pumas are like the bear. Uh it’ll forge and then auto inventory whatever will forage. Just kill me, please. There we go. All right, let’s try that again. Um, as I was saying, it’ll hide the corpses, forage, auto inventory anything on our hand, and then uh use item 19, which is our boots, which is where the uh the uh the run speed boots we just got are item-wise. If you type uh use uh use item, it will give you a list of all the numbers for the different slots. And you can also just type the name of it if it is in your storage activated items, right? See what get back over there uh to do this. So, so far uh you know, it’s it’s about the same experience in D4 as uh XR and as an ogre, right? We died both times pretty quick to uh two bad ideas. All right, so here’s a decaying skeleton. Finally, we can swan him, but we have 130 hit points right now, so it’s pretty good. Uh, you know, we’re missing like 40 stamina and probably 50 strength, right? I need to be healing. nuking. Jeez. [laughter] Oh my god. All right, let’s go into uh let’s go into recovery. Let’s go into defensive here. See, this might be what we need to do. Um but I mean it it’s it’s it’s expected once we get to like level two to like three, right? Like once we get a little bit more experience of this, maybe get a better weapon, it’ll be a lot better. Now, this weapon we have here is the is the starter weapon for the XR, which uh I’m surprised they still give it to you because there’s no way to like do anything with it, right? Because the I believe the quest isn’t even available until Kunarch. So, I’m surprised they don’t just give you a normal fine steel weapon or something that uh Exar would start with. But, it is definitely uh definitely interesting. All right. So, there’s a puma over there. Now, we need to get over here. All right. This thing’s a level one. I think what I did is I just screwed up attacking him wrong. There we go. Now, we only have kick right now. We do not have bash unless we get a shield. So, if we get a shield, we’ll switch to bash. Uh, but we got a crack staff, which is a 2.1 2.19, which is better than that. Let’s put that there. And that’s primary only. What’s this thing over here? Conn, he’s level five. Let’s just go into E3. Uh, I think it’s going to be easier to get to level three uh on these lower level mobs before we invest more time into that. So pick D4 just this like this these are com this is all based on comments I got right like do D4 right so I’m trying it I always do it in D like one uh while leveling because feels like it’s a waste of time otherwise to you know fight mobs with huge hit points. There we go. >> [snorts] >> There we got 1% experience for that rat. Now we need to kill a fire beetle. So that’s going to be there’s one over there [sighs] 1%. It’s feeling awful low. Feeling awful low. But they’re all blue, right? But we when we if we kill something and it drops something, it’ll drop a D4, right? Like this is a plus4 crack staff. But there’s lots of skeletons running around here. There’s a that there’s a plus4 rusty bastard sword. Still not as good as the crack staff. So, we’re going to keep the crack staff for now. Ideally, I want a two-hander as that’s what I want to play or bone chips. All right, we’re going to get killed by Okay. Uh, looks like the apprentice blinded us. So, we should be fine. Now, we should have more wisdom as uh Exxar, so we should have a little bit more mana, but uh we’re in running and recovery, so it’s not too big a deal right now. That rat attacked me. All right. Oh, the rat just something. I don’t know what he’s doing. Healing Come on. Really? The blind is a little bit much. I I’m going to say there we go. I feel like I’m facing the right way. So, this is a rusty battle axe 1 nine. Yeah, we’re going to take that. and put that off hand there. Now, if we look at skills, dual wield 15. So, we already have dual wield. Uh let’s do display types. Uh link uh this one. I don’t know why it’s not saving [laughter] why it’s not saving my S settings 100% from character to character. There we go. We got 8.9 for the yellow and uh 1.0 for the blue, which I think is not too bad, right? Like I mean at the end of the day we just need to get the level three I think to be able to safely uh safely be able to handle the outside there. And we got 5 minutes to kill for our pick cool down anyway. So might as well. There we go. All right. There is a fire beetle. See if we can get an eye real quick if it decides to stop running. What do we get? It’s level three. We get the new nuke, right? Oh, we got another apprentice on us. Okay. This one’s yellow, though. So, all right. We got our first moatless auto store that and loot our eye which then we can do that. We die him up. I can’t tell if I’m even facing the right direction. It looks like I am. I’m like crushing and kicking. Definitely hard to tell here. Now, if if we get a shield to drop, we will use the shield over dual wielding because at this low level, 10 dual wield, we’re never going to hit, right? You can see like you want to see slashes cuz we I think we have a slash or offhand, right? Yeah. So, the crushes are main hand, slashes would be off hand. Still nothing, right? Whereas we taken bash which will do a lot more damage. I go back into divine. Okay. If I’m full mana, I don’t need to be in recovery, right? So it’s it’s always good to go into divine. We got 8.9 for that guy. So that’s pretty good. There we go. Come on. I don’t know who this dude is. Is he a rare? He’s dubious. All right. Rusty short short sword. I’m going to loot that for now cuz that’s actually a pretty nice weapon once we uh I think it’s better right now than this one. Right. This is one nine. This is 179 actually. But it’s a 42 delay versus a 28 delay. Right. So that alone is going to mess up our uh dual wielding. Yeah, let’s let’s go with this faster weapon off hand even though it’s a little bit lower ratio. See if it does anything better. Let’s fight this thing. This should give us a little bit more experience. But you can see like none of these kills seem to go over 89. So that’s kind of like I guess the target target level for getting experience is like 8.9%. Um now I was doing some some thinking, right? Um, I think we were killing we were level four in the ogre video and [snorts] we killed a level nine and we got 8.9 and we killed then at level eight we still got 8.9. So I think there is some kind of experience cap on the amount of experience you get for mobs higher level than you. And definitely killing reds is probably not the best. I don’t know why. I have to see how much experience I get from killing a red. But uh it’s hard to kill a red. It’s solo at this level, right? And once we get to befallen, it’s uh it’s a little it’s a little bit faster, honestly. Like I got from five to six faster than I did uh any of these other levels. So, some good information there. Now, I haven’t noticed a single stun yet. So, the this early game stun game is not uh not an issue. And to keep it fair, uh I am going to go into when I get an AA, I’m going to go into combat fury. That’s what I did with the ogre, right? So, uh, just to see how much the stuns actually matter at this at this low level, right? Uh, I don’t think it it’s going to matter at all because I don’t feel like I am getting stunned at all. Right. So, put this wrist on for these bandages. I don’t know why the destroy buttons up there versus right there, but all right. I just I really just want to get to the next level. There’s like nothing to kill here. What is that one? That’s a pawn. All right, there’s one right there. These are level two, so should be fine. And then we do have attack on hostile on. [screaming] And that’s a Ulac. We’re not going to use that. That’d be nice if you were a uh maybe a monk. It might be useful. Uh fist might be better, though. Can I get flame lick on please? There we go. Can I get flame lick on you, too? Now, with the ogre early on, I was able to stay in like offensive mode for a good part of it. Um, we didn’t do we weren’t doing d4. We were doing uh I think normal until I realized, you know, let’s try it. So, I think the ogre was leveling a little bit faster in the fear with uh ND0 just because of uh that, but we we kept getting ganked by uh bears. It was pretty crazy. Uh now we got two more moes, I believe, from those ones, right? So now we’re at four modes. I believe at level six the ogre was at uh was at 10 moes I believe which uh we can use those most upgrade spells or uh whatever. Now I plan to take bard as my my third. So, I’ve been, you know, I’ve been considering doing the bard, you know, warrior bard and, you know, skipping the healing. Uh, but I just don’t think I would survive to level six and uh be able to without, you know, stopping every 5 minutes to uh to stop and heal, right? So that is uh that is the conundrum that I would uh I would run into running bar warrior bard as the main combo helps to go into recovery I guess to try not to die to a decaying skeleton. Oh my god. Oh my gosh. Oh my, that was funny. All right, let’s get some mana going here. We’re We are defensive, so these are hitting hard. Now, there’s a centurion, which is what we want to fight. Uh, these are 8.986 experience. So, if I can get full health here, we’ll pull him. He’s a paladin, so he’s going to take lifetime to kill. Luckily, the only thing that assisted him was the apprentice. That’s a lot of snakes. [snorts] So, not too bad there. We’re at 64%. I think at level three, we’ll go back into the other zone cuz then we can kill the spiders and stuff. They’re going to be they’re going to be four, you know, four and five and I think that’ll be a little bit better. So, I think we’ve learned uh come here at level one and uh [snorts] get to level three just to avoid like the the gang bang pumas that we’re running into, right? Um, now I’ll have to go back and I’ll have to go back and see what kind of uh hit points I had at level three and four and five with the ogre. I think I was at 300 hit points at level six, which is uh, you know, pretty uh, pretty substantial amount of hit points, but he didn’t have any gear, so it’s about the same. I think he he was using the uh short sword over at 73%. We should get another centurion. They should like all spawn like right around this area from what I’ve seen. So that might be the key to doing this. All right, these are all all lame ones. There’s an even con. skeleton. Come on now. Too bad. All right, we’re at 30 minutes, so we’re doing okay. I don’t know how long I wasted in Fur before running to uh North Row with the ogre. So, there we go. All right, we got here. Is that another Centurion? Nope. All pawns. Now, these even cons are only worth 2%. So, that’s definitely I like I’d like I wish I I wish it was easier to switch between difficulties to like see like how much experience it was. Might be worth recording and, you know, doing it like uh in the time it takes me to kill this, would I have killed, you know, two or three of these? I’m getting about the same experience. I know in the other video I was uh I was pretty sure that I was not going to I was not able to get like 9% experience from killing a yellow in the same amount of time because it’s one kill, right? And these centurions like to spawn right here so we can grab it every so often for that little boost of experience and just kill the the the decaying skeletons and the other orcs. They’re going to drop gear that we might be able to wear. So, you know, anything that gives us plus4, you know, AC is going to be a nice thing to do. I don’t know what this dude’s for. He’s dubious, so I’m not going to kill him. Uh, it doesn’t look like he has any loot. There we go. I don’t know if he’s late hands yet, but he’ll probably do it here in a minute if he hasn’t. But so far, I’m not really noticing the stuns. You know, I’m casting casting quite a bit. I’m more or less fizzling more than anything, but uh I think it’ll be once we get to befallen, we’ll start seeing more stuns. That was where I was getting hit by a lot more mobs at once. There we go. And we got our first AA point which we’re going to put into combat fury. There we go. Let’s move up a little bit right over here. Now you can see here we’re already getting crits uh from our melee. if we didn’t already get those before. If you don’t remember, warriors have innate um tenacity, which gives them an innate uh 5% crit chance, 5% melee um melee uh damage reduction. Plus, when they’re under 35% health, they crippling blow, which doubles, I believe, the crit damage. And as we level, we’ll get more crit damage on all our abilities. sell that one. But uh we want to we want to get out of this zone I think right right at level three. So that is my plan right now. See we fight two of these at once. Now, when we get cleave at like level nine, um it’s going to be a lot better [snorts] damage wise. [screaming and crying] [snorts] go and getting some nice crits. 21 crit, you know, that’s pretty good. And there we go. And we got a bastard sword. We can go ahead and sell that. And then we got burst of fire. So, we’ll have to switch that spell out when we zone over. But, uh, that’ll give us a little bit more of a nuke damage. It’s not a whole lot. It’s It’s minimal if anything. So, let’s uh do that the fire. You see these spiders are uh are blue now, but there there’s going to be yellow ones in the mix, so we’ll be able to fight multiple at a time. Like there’s a rattlesnake, but those are rough. Uh let’s see here. Let’s just kill this one. Oh, we didn’t go to difficulty four. So, let’s do that. Come on. You can see there. There they respawn is yellow. Hopefully. Oh, I think I hit three. Oh, son of a [\h__\h] That’s fine. We can do three. require a fivem minute cool down anyway. All right, let’s run up here. I don’t think there’s much difference between three and four anyway. So, might be slightly I think it’s like 10% less experience, but our goal is just to get to level four, I think, right now is where I want to get. maybe closer to five, but it starts to slow down. Now, we’re going to want to kill like pumas and coyotes and uh anything yellow is kind of the target here. I see that puma right there. This is level five. I think we can kill it. Let’s go ahead snag him. [groaning and screaming] There we go. It’s one-on-one. We should be fine. [screaming] You can see here like our offh hand hasn’t done anything yet, right? [laughter] Nothing. Even though we’re uh you know still getting dual wield skill 19 there is what I can tell not a single slash [snorts] but we’re having uh not too many issues with this yellow puma. Maybe the scarab bachel would be a nice option next. [sighs] All right, got 8.9 for that one. We’re going to grab this spider here. And there we go. So you can see all our skills just like flying up pretty good. Hitting for 11, which uh pretty good. Critting for 20. Not bad at all. Definitely uh fighting paladins all the time is kind of annoying because of the lay hands, but you can see we’re at eight regen with uh unyielding. So that gives us a little bit more uh like level 30 uh warriors get an AA for uh you know 1% of your HP as uh health regen. So if you have like you know 3,000 hit points, you’re getting uh 30 you know health regen, right? Pretty nice. >> [snorts] >> There we go. [clears throat] Not too bad. Longer fight. Obviously, this is difficulty three, so it’s going to be a little bit quicker than D4, but uh the same it looks to be the same experience, right? I’m getting that same capped experience. So, there might be, you know, some threshold where, you know, you’re not going to get more than 8.9 in whatever difficulty. So, there might be some things there. Uh, but I guess the benefit I’m getting right now from this difficulty is that I’m going to get things to drop at, you know, plus three versus plus a zero or plus one, you know, allowing me to kind of merge them up a little bit faster to like plus five. So, I might get a little bit, you know, a little bit more stuff. It helps to uh, you know, turn on attack. I don’t know why I always I’m used I’m so used to turning on attack that I always turn it off, but it automatically comes on. So, interestingly enough, this coyote has a yellow pet. So, kind of funny. Another spider. Uh, this one’s yellow, so it’ll be another 8.9% experience most likely. And then at level four, the ogre was able to kill giant spiders in West Commons. And outside of Befallen, there was a nice just kind of like strutddy steady stream of them. So that might be uh might be an option. But uh if we’re still getting like 8 n here, I’m not going to I’m not going to worry about it. [snorts] All right. Now, you’ll notice I’ve been in unyielding this whole time. Um, versus I in when I was playing on the uh or ogre, I was in divine most of the time. Now, they get a little bit of extra regen per level. I think it’s like uh two, it starts out at two extra health regen and it works its way up to I think eight by level 50 uh give or take. I don’t know exactly what the numbers are. So, uh, unyielding doubles it. So, as a warrior, you, you know, you get your health regen from the that passive ability at level 30, which, you know, 1% per hit point. Uh, plus you get stacked on top of that your uh XR regen plus your other stuff. We just lost one health regen for some reason. Oh, we’re being poisoned. All right, there we go. But is if you uh let me see if I can do this new tab. I I don’t know why I didn’t save it, but uh me being hit and filters [snorts] being missed and then spells. Go to another one. filter spells dark damage. Uh CS being hit and then spells dark one more time being hit. There we go. All right. So, all the R damage should show up right down here. Now, that Puma is looking mighty scary, but you can see right, our health regen is eight, and we’re getting hit for less than eight on almost every single attack. So, we’re regenerating our health uh pretty much as fast as this yellow mob is hitting us. So, we’re losing a little bit of life, right? We’re still losing health, right? Uh but it’s not that much. So, kind of the, you know, one of the benefits of, uh, you know, playing a regen race. Now, O, uh, Troll and XR both have, uh, health regen. So, all we got two bulumas. All right. So, let’s see what these things are going to hit for here. Uh, so, so we [snorts] have eight health regen, hitting for three, hitting for four, hitting for four, hitting for ones, right? So, we might be able to uh regen regen past some of this at least on one of them. Maybe not on two of them, but you can see there we’re starting to we’re starting to hit a little harder, right? And I haven’t I’m I’m I have two [laughter] two yellow mobs hitting me and I’m not even casting heal. Whereas on the ogre, I’m chain healing. Now we got another one. So, let’s re uh do this, right? We’re just going to get probably chain chain spawns right here anyway. And we’re able to, you know, regenerate past some of that damage in unyielding stance. So, you know, depending on how you want to do it, like I didn’t notice this at this as well at the lower level, right? We maybe could have done this then, but uh this just seems to be working pretty well. just pop a heal on, you know, if we need it. But, uh, for the most part, we’re doing well. Now, one of the things that’s going to start playing this at level seven, we’re going to get damage shield. At uh, I think level 20some, we get regen, right? So, our health regen is going to go up even more. And every time we get hit, we’re going to be doing damage. Now, we’ll be adding the bard in, which will have AoE slow, AoE, uh two AoE dots, and uh you know, whatever else we need with the other two uh the other two slots there. So, um definitely feeling like it’s it’s going to be a fun combo uh long term. And in all honesty, I’m at 48 minutes and I’m already almost level four, whereas I think the ogre didn’t hit this until a little bit later. Uh, you know, like the timing doesn’t really matter. I I like I I wasn’t really trying to race the two. But my goal is to kill Skeleton Lrod uh before the 2our mark, right? That’s that’s my goal. If I can do it, I should be able to. But I’m not I’m not [\h__\h] around as much. Uh might be able to do it by a little bit more, but it’s definitely uh [screaming] definitely not bad. Right there we go. I mean, we’re we’re still full health. We can just go right straight into the next attack on the next mob. We still have like almost full mana. We’re regenerating mana fast enough. Right now, with the bard and the druid, we can play two damage two damage like a damage song, right, for damage shield, right? Damage shield song plus the druid damage shield, which is going to be uh thorn coat plus the uh thistle code or whatever it is at this level. The two of those are shield of thistles, I I think is the right name. Um, so we should have a I’m guessing like almost 15 point damage shield uh as soon as we can, which should be pretty good. Like I think thistles is like seven. Uh, plus you get the one from uh the coat, which is eight, so it should be pretty uh pretty good there. Nope. Too fast. Oh, I still have attack on. Come on. [screaming] Now, at this point, the ogre had more gear cuz uh like the lizards we were killing in Ferro dropped a lot more gear uh like cloth armor-wise than what we had. So, but um I mean, we’re at 32 AC, which includes the innate AC that goes up as we level. Let’s get this one. It’s level five. And then I think at level four, we’ll start making our way to befallen and try to kill yellow giant spiders as we go and maybe bears. Now, you could definitely stay here. Like if I wasn’t making a video, I might just sit here for [laughter] until, you know, level five, maybe level six, just for, you know, the sake of doing it because, you know, obviously it’s faster to not move, but I want to be at the fallen at level five. That’s what the ogre was able to do. No problem. So, we’ll see how it goes for me. There is a fire beetle. There it is. I was like, where is that spider? I see him right there. All right, we got two spiders. Um, now, luckily for us, their poison is not going to stack. All right, we’re going to lose that one health regen, right? But, uh, as you can see here, we’re going to regenerate a lot of that back before they can, uh, get us low enough for it to matter most likely. Right? Not going to be 100% there, but it’s going to help. And uh you know as we’re leveling up we would you know head off to uh Kazakth pick up a rubicite breastplate and we if we don’t have a better breastplate we put it there. If we do we put it in the any slot for I think it’s an extra 10 health regen max that out. Maybe 15 I can’t remember. And then that all adds up. So there we go. We got four. Now, something I noticed in this was like at level four, we get camouflage allows us to inv our way through, you know, cities that we’re KOing, which is kind of cool. Um, something I didn’t know that the druid gave when I did this the first time on the ogre. Uh, so definitely nice there. But, uh, we did pick up an AoE nuke we’re going to switch to here in just a second. Try to get some health going just to uh offset that. Right. There we go. Perfect. [snorts] Now, this is a level five or level four, so it’s still yellow. It should give about 6% experience, I believe, if I’m not mistaken. Maybe four, but I think it’s six at this point. five. All right, split the difference. All right, let’s get rid of that. Let’s grab invoke lightning. So, invoke lightning is an AoE. It’s going to hit uh all the targets on us. So, it kind it’s kind of beneficial there. It’s a mana suck, so it’s not really uh you know, an spam it kind of ability, but uh at this point, I’m not really spamming my uh stuff. Let’s kill that puma. I feel like I feel I need to kill this puma. We move on. If I can hit the right button. Go. Now, once we get into befallen, we’ll start getting like armor. So, we’ll get rawhide, we’ll get cloth, we’ll get gor, we’ll get chain, we’ll get ring mail, we’ll get I think all the way up to fine steel all the way on the bottom floor. Uh, so, you know, we’ll pretty much be set once we get there. And we should like I I was able to go down uh to the bottom floor at about 1516, but I had uh I had about 78 eggs. So that is that is going to be my uh in unknown part of uh progression. Like I don’t plan on taking this character above six, right? Uh the servers are going to come down soon. There’s no point in continuing, but um it’s mo mostly the start. And I think level six is, you know, the start, right? You can go in and kill that first named in befallen um the skeleton Lrod. And uh I think that’s a good uh a good stopping point for this. right now. We might be able to kill the Ashuka, but uh she is a little hard. She’s a little hard at level uh level six. But I’ll I’ll keep this thing rolling for two hours. So, it’s the same uh same amount of time as uh as the ogre and we’ll see how far we get. But I think we’re already pretty much ahead of the ogre. like timewise. I think I think so. Anyway, I’m sure somebody will tell me I’m wrong, but uh as you can see, this is this is going pretty well. We haven’t had as many deaths, I don’t think, either. So, and I did spend a good portion of the time running from Furot to this zone, so [laughter] uh should be fine there. This is This is working for What is this guy worth? Five. All right, let’s get to West Comets cuz we can kill giant spiders for eight 8.9% per kill. At least the ogre was able to kill them at level four. Uh I don’t think this guy’s going to have a problem. I mean, I’m not even literally literally taking damage with unyielding. So, we’ll see how this uh this pairs out. Now, let’s see. Here’s the tunnel right here. Now, we are going to lose a little time here running through this cave. But there we go. Look at this. Look at this monk. All badass at level five. Come on. Go, go, go. Right. So, it’s, you know, it’s pretty uh pretty good so far. I think uh it’s been smoother than the ogre start. Uh I have not noticed a single stun yet. Uh that’s on the lower level stuff, right? And that’s that’s the only time that this would ever really matter, right, to me is at the low levels is, you know, when we you get stunned at the low levels because I mean, Steadfast, if you’re a tank, is going to give you 100% stun immunity from all 360, right? The whole the whole circle around you, whereas the ogre is only in the front. Now, you’re saving a little bit little bit of AA by being able to, you know, not have to worry about this as much, but I’m just not that concerned, honestly. I feel like I feel like I like I can I can get past it and max that out, right? especially when the the marketplace is available. You know, I’m probably going to buy AA potions just to uh double it up real quick and uh get things, you know, done a little bit faster so I don’t have to think about it. Right. So, there’s some things there that are pretty like getting steadfast early on that is going to be good. And then uh I don’t have the the the bard stuff yet, but maxing out all the bard stuff early on is going to be where I’m going to uh invest. Let’s kill this even con spider. Uh now, one thing to note, if you if you have a terrible weapon, you might be able to kill these snakes for uh a better weapon. Now, we’re in difficulty zero right now, so this shouldn’t be too hard compared to what we were just doing, but uh the snakes do drop a giant fang. And it might be worth farming. Um let’s kill one real quick and see. They they’re going to give experience anyway, so I think this giant rattlesnake here is going to do it. Now, the thing about the giant rattlesnake is once he poisons us, our health regen will go down a little bit more. I think it’s going to be two points. Come on. Yeah. Yeah, we’re negative -2 health with his poison on. So, uh, you know, the regen regen is not really helping us there. Uh, one minor heal and we should be good. There we go. And we’re about to get hit attacked by uh two skeletons, it looks like. Maybe warn if I play this off right. Okay, attacking. There we go. Didn’t drop it. 7% experience though, so let’s grab the skeleton. Now, as we wait make our way to the befallen, this this path here and then on the other side of the zone line is uh going to have some nice mobs to fight. So, kind of kind of working it into [laughter] how how this goes. And this is this is like I I I at this point the video should already be out for uh my plan, right? The only thing I’m indecisive on right now is is going ogre or Xar, but I’m I’m really leaning towards Ixar. like I don’t see any point in uh wasting my time, you know, with with ogre because I just don’t feel like I’m going to use it outside of like the first 10 minutes of stun immunity, right? But this is the, you know, the exact path I’m going to be taking in uh retail. Now, uh, if I have, you know, friends with me, obviously they’ll, you know, might change slightly, but I’m not too concerned. Let’s go attack this one. And, uh, this is what this is the same path A and I took when, uh, we, uh, did the private, no, pre-order beta. Uh, he was, uh, he was like a gnome. I summoned him to to uh north north row and uh it worked out pretty well. [snorts] Here, let’s go divine because we got two of these sons of [\h__\h] on us now. And divine will give us more uh healing. This might be uh this might cook us though cuz these things are vicious. Let’s go to recovery. Oh my god. Another one. [snorts] All right. Giant spider. And a third one. This one here might go a little faster. That was 7%. Come on. I got two different poison dots on me. Oh my gosh. There we go. There’s another one. That one’s red. Can I Can I get up the wall a little bit? No, not enough. Not enough gas in the tank. All right. So, where did this start us at? Puts us right where we want to be. [laughter] Happen. Exact same thing happened in the ogre video. Puts us right where we want to be. So, we run over here. Now, what are we at here? We’re at Oh jeez. You see that guy? Look at that red Kodiak plus a little bear friend with him. Let’s uh get over here. Now, our target is going to be uh giant spiders. Now, when I did this on the other server with ogre, they were just like constantly like roaming around here. So, we’re going to grab them. We’re going to pull him back to the wall because there’s a lot of other junk that paths here like kill giants and griffins. So, uh, it’s like right around this area right here. So, see if this the same experience here. There’s one dead giant spider. There’s another one out there. Perfect. So, we’re just going to run right out here. I don’t know why it’s almost dead, but Oh, it’s it’s a counter lock to somebody. All right, there’s a Puma. Let’s grab that. Now, I’m pulling with snare because I don’t have a spirit of wolf, right? The boots wear off as soon as you do anything, but snare will uh give me the time to get to where I need to go. Turn around, turn on attack, switch to that stance, and just fight. Now, there was our first stun that I can remember right there. >> [groaning and screaming] >> There’s another stuff. Come on. Looking pretty good. 7% experience. All right, we’re going to go for this uh level eight spider. Got him. Now, we’re just going to bring him back up home. Same concept, right? It’s very It’s very simplistic. it’s uh you know relatively safe. Now, we’re going to want to keep snare on uh this guy uh because he will run and uh not that they run fast or anything, but they do run. All right, so we uh we’re at two HP regen with this weak poison. So, uh, let’s go ahead and switch the divine since we’re going to be poisoned probably most of this, right? And then we can get free healing from, uh, whatever we cast. [snorts] Now, the we we talked about it is, you know, ogres get slam, but slam is bash with only one damage, right? I never saw a slam with more than one damage. So, it’s you’re not really losing a lot by not being able to do it. It doesn’t it’s not until you get uh improved bash or a shield that it really matters. So, just this, you know, keep that in mind. Um, you know, it’s an ability, but it’s it’s only doing it’s only doing one damage. There we go. 8 N this one up here. We’re at 55%. Excellent. Now, so at level four, killing something four levels higher seems to be the sweet spot, right? Because that gives us 8 n experience, and I did not see [snorts] killing a level 9 previously giving more than 8 n experience. Uh I would love to hear, you know, anybody else’s results on that. That’s just my in my head math, but uh I feel like within four levels above you is probably the the sweet sweet spot for maximum experience per kill. Uh but maximum AA is probably going to be killing blues. In fact, if we see a blue, we’ll kill one and see what kind of experience we get from that. Let’s get this rattlesnake. Like I can I can almost bet on that this guy’s going to give me seven 7% experience cuz he’s a level seven, right? Like we we’ll see what he gives at the end here. But, uh, I feel like he’s going to give seven, you know, some variance of that. Now, I think, you know, if they’re multiclass, they give a little bit more experience, but I’m not I don’t think that’s real. I don’t think it matters at all. All right, let’s do a heal. and uh XR I believe start with more uh fire resist and where is it? I thought they started more poison resist but it’s just fire resist. So when you uh get to uh the Nagafan, you do have a you know a little bit more fire resist there than uh like saying ogre would. Ah, and warriors get more magic resist. There we go. Come on. And 7143. Exactly what I thought. Let’s get that puma. Oh, there’s a spider. [laughter] Maybe next time. All right, so we’re going to get another 7143 for this one most likely. So, just this this little flat area is really nice to fight in. I haven’t noticed anything path here like uh that’s going to like one-shot me like a hill giant or a griffin, but I’ve only done it a few times so [screaming] 69. All right, perfect. Now, this athletic skill, if you don’t know, increases your movement speed. So, eventually it’s as fast as uh Journeyman Boots, I believe, if not faster. But, uh it’s definitely uh something to consider there when you’re wasting your time doing stuff. All right, let’s see what we can get. Yeah. Same experience. What’s this? This a five. He’s going to be less. It’s a five. I want this one. He’s a seven. He’s going to be the same experience. Two. Three. Actually, get the spell off. There we go. All right. We run our happy ass right back up here. Let me see here if I can flame like him while Oh, just we’ll just kite him up here. There we go. So, it doesn’t do much damage, right? It does three damage, right? It’s not a big deal. There we [snorts] go. And we should be good. There we go. Let’s red dot him. Let’s re snare him, too. Let’s look at our damage here. All right, crit for 32. So, get a little bit more damage. Obviously, we, you know, we have significantly less stats than the ogre. So, we’re going to have a little less, but we do have higher, I believe, um, agility and dexterity, so it’s going to kind of benefit us in a different way. That’s a level four. That’s a level five. That’s a level nine. All right, let’s uh let’s run see if we can kill this at level 9. So, level 9 should be 8.9% experience, I believe. If my theory holds. If my theory holds um like in level eight would be 8.9 and this one should be the same thing. So, uh we’re going to go to divine for this fight and we’re staying in defensive for this whole time, right? So, we take extremely less damage while we’re fighting these. We’re still we’re in difficulty zero, right? Like this is it’s kind of a joke, but it is what it is. >> [snorts] >> There we go. Come on. [music] And so I’m I’m thinking this is going to be 899 experience is just my guess. I don’t think we’ll get like 10% for this guy, but who honestly knows? It’s always worth it to uh flame lick because, you know, you’re getting heal for that 12 mana, right? But I mean, it’s just almost the same as uh the minor healing, so it’s not too bad. Get him snared. There we go. And then you drop giant snake fang, right? So this is a 185 527. So if we take that one, merge that one, we get a plus one, and we sell those, which gives us 185, which is better than our off hand. So just go and get rid of that. And voila. Uh this one, let’s kill this one. one. So yeah, 8 9 97. Exactly what I said. So there is some kind of experience cap going on. Um best I can tell. Like you might get more on a red than that, but I’m not seeing more than 899 on yellows. And I believe [snorts] [sighs] what was that? Level nine. I believe a level 10 would be red to me right now. So if you have different uh different values, let me know. All right. And we’re going to kill this level seven spider as the last mob here. Or not. See if we can get some run speed. Find something to kill. Let’s kill this asp. I guess it’s a little bit rougher of a fight, but it’s still going to ding us. There we go. Now, this one’s a little bit lower level, right? The other one was level nine. So, this one’s should have a little less hit points. Come on. Start healing. This is the art of healing. Oh my. But this one should ding us on both AA and level, I think. So, we’ll put that next uh uh I don’t even know where we’re going to put this next A. Yeah, I don’t think we have anything. We have to wait for uh another one. All right, there we go. Level five. So, let’s save that. Let’s run inside here. Oh, we got Cleave at level five. Oh my gosh. All right. Um, so I I would I did the whole ogre thing without Cleave. I didn’t even see this uh this message before. All right, perfect. Uh that is even better because uh that’ll increase our damage. So the ogre was at a disadvantage cuz I didn’t see that when uh I leveled. I wish it was I wish it was a little bit more easy to see that. All right, so we’re going to create an instance. We have our charge finally. Uh we’re going to do a normal. I don’t see any point in trying to go any higher difficulty. We might get more experience, but we’re going to die a lot more. So, all right, let’s get into this. Now we have cleave, which is an AoE attack that’s going to hit four mobs in front of us, which uh with uh with my testing on Freeport, I was able to get uh some pretty nice damage. Uh like a 200 cleave against uh bunch of mobs. Now immediately the first pull is three yellows, right? Like rough times ahead. Like we’re rough times ahead. Uh but we have cleave going and if we get a shield of bash going or if we get a two ender we can invest in improve bash. [snorts] There we go. We got stunned broke our heal. Right. Let me do this. This is what I did with the ogre. I stand in this corner. which will help reduce the knock back but not the the stunts. And you can already see here how how crazy the stunts is. And that didn’t even get the AA from uh that ding there. So yeah, there’s nothing nothing to buy that I want right now. You can see our endurance is getting chunked too. Um definitely going to be a definitely going to be a endurance challenge and we’re in defensive. Usually I’m I am at full endurance with uh but as you can see this is uh quite a bit of uh stuns. that the ogre doesn’t have to deal with. Now, is it detrimental to us leveling? I mean, it’s kind of slowing us down, right? Like I can’t even get those are those are all physics but it’s hard to get anything off [snorts] red eye but I mean it’s good experience. I mean, we’re we’re already uh what 13% into level five. Now, this first pull is the hardest pull, right? I think uh there’s a few other pulls that are kind of crazy, but uh I’m going to try to stay inside of the one of these rooms over here while we level up. I don’t think we can kill the Lrod right now. It might have to be at level six. Uh, but we might we might be able to. I lose my voice and I don’t like that. There we go. Good. This is this a level eight mob, so he’s gonna he’s going to be what? 7% 5% experience. All right, we got a rusty Warhammer, which is junk and junk. All right, look at that. Same thing. We’re going to hit five. We’re going to pull these two, which turned into three somehow, but we’re going to run back over here into this corner. and just like work our way through, right? [screaming] Not too bad. [snorts] See if I can get this crappy dot on all of them. Where’s the other one? This one. So, we’re at 310 hit points. When we hit level six, I’ll compare ogre versus XR hit points here in a second. 3% for that guy. We got another moat. Got some gloves. Perfect. Oh, we have these pants in our bag this whole time we didn’t put on. I’m dumb. All right, there we go. Now we have another guy. Sometimes my tab target doesn’t work. I don’t know why. There we go. [snorts] Looking good. Kind of low on health, but go into the vine and heal up. There we go. 4% for that guy. All right. Now, if I pull those guys, I’m going to get these side rooms if I’m not mistaken. So, we’re going to come in here, pull this rat, which will get us a rat from this door right there. And, uh, we’re going to sit right here. Now, I found this little spot right here. these this these rooms. So, there’s one more rat in there and then there’s uh usually like two necros in here. We didn’t get two necros right now, but they’re they die pretty quick. Like that’s the whole secret. Throw another heal. Now, this would work with a shaman also or a cleric, right? You could do a warrior cleric warrior shaman. not going to have any issues. Cleric would [sighs and gasps] cleric would actually probably heal a little better, but you’re not really needing the heals. So, you [snorts] know, your your choices may vary there. I just don’t think I could do it with warrior bard. Uh otherwise, I would because I would have more damage uh until level 10, but I don’t think I can do it with warrior Bard. I’m I’m just not that good. and I’m too impatient to uh stand around waiting for health. All right, so we’re going to go in here. Now, the thing with the ogre is we had to crouch through every single door. Uh so that was uh you know, one of the uh negatives of that. We’re going to do an AoE nuke there. Now you can see this is a level nine necromancer and these stuns are real. So let’s go into inversion which pretty much lets us instantly cast uh spells but they’re not instant, right? I say instead, but it’s it’s not going to turn around slightly. [snorts] I’m going to go back into recovery since I’m going to be casting heals cuz I’m feeling I’m taking too much damage. Come on. There we go. She’s down. Rust the rapier. Don’t want that. Gets rid of her pet also. Right. That’s why I don’t attack pets unless unless I accidentally do it. Let’s go into divine. Oh, a 50 50 hit crippling blow. Nice. Uh that was something we kind of did a little bit with the ogre was we kind of ch stayed under 40% health for a little bit. Uh, which is easier when these mobs are a little bit more controllable, but uh eventually there’s like hard touching mobs that are a little bit harder control. Yeah. So, once we went over 40%, we lost the berserk, right? Go in here. Kill this one. Come on. Oh. Oh, yeah. Too bad the uh too bad the loot you see on the mob is not the loot you get on the mob because I would love a shield right now. That is the uh that is one of the biggest uh biggest complaints I saw early on in the on the private beta was the personal loot. You know, you get whatever you get, but you’re seeing a mob dropping the item you want. It’s like what? Rusty axe. Sell that trash. But as you can see, we kind of got a flow going now and it’s uh working pretty well. I’m actually going to go and try the Lor Lrod real quick. I think we can uh I think got a mask. Look at that. Would you look at that? Our AC is uh what? 50 AC now. Swack this guy. All right. So, when we attack one of these esavators, we’re going to get should just be those two. He’s not going to assist for some reason. He just sits there and waits till we get closer. So, There we go. Come on. Guess the stuns are slowing us down a little bit. All right, we got pants to merge. We got rusty short to merge and not the cell. Uh I typically merge everything. I don’t really care. That’s just how I play this. Like uh I could I could drop moes on, you know, things and get them up to level four or whatever. I It doesn’t matter. It doesn’t matter to me. Um, I I prefer at this point to save my moes for spells than upgrading items that aren’t going to stick around, right? If it’s not from the plane of hate, if it’s not from uh plane of sky, [laughter] it’s not going to stick around. It’s it’s useless to me to uh put a moat in those, [music] right? Yeah, maybe I’ll get it like, you know, one damage more, but it’s just not worth it. That just that’s just how I feel. Whereas a spell, if I upgrade that spell, I’m going to have that spell for the rest of the character upgraded, right? Even if it’s even if it’s like if I upgraded like minor healing right now. If I were to level up another character or something like that, I might use minor healing. Um, that’s a bad example cuz it’s obviously not going to ever get used again. But light healing would be uh a key spell to upgrade because I would uh I would use light healing on every priest and paladin uh leveling up to I think level 19, right? So, right away you’re getting, you know, a better healing spell on those lower levels. And then uh that plays on multiple classes. And if you’re say you use a shaman every time you play through, right, you’re always going to have light healing every [clears throat] time you play through on those little levels. So to me, that’s more valuable, right? Upgrading that way versus uh you know, spending a moat on uh trying to upgrade a weapon that’s going to be replaced quickly, right? Like even right now, like we kill this uh named over here, right? Asuka. We kill her, she drops a scythe. Uh, you know, that’s going to be good until we get like right uh right down the down the stairs right over here. Um, well, the knight over here, he drops the best one. But there’s other other two-handers here like that, you know, depending on uh how fast we level them up, you know, passively is is going to be it, right? So, it’s like just to be no point leveling up any leveling weapons because the spells are uh so much better. All right. And this guy’s level 11, but he’s pretty easy. So, he’s red. Uh, he should give 8.9% experience if I’m not mistaken. As you can see, he’s not too rough. Now, he drops this uh one-hander thing he’s holding, which is it’s a decent like one-handed blunt, but um the the secret to it is uh he drops it like almost every time you kill him. Or he drops uh I think boots, I think, is what he drops. Boots or gloves. So, uh you’re going to get a lot of these. You might be able to get it to like plus 10, which makes it a lot better really quick, especially if you’re doing this on uh higher than zero difficulty. cuz I would I would highly recommend like if you stay here till 25 or 30, come back in at the What the hell are you doing? Come back in at the end of that and then D4 when you can, you know, manhandle every single thing in this zone and, [music] you know, kill it all at D4, get a few upgrades before you move on to the next zone. you know, level up in, you know, D01 and then come back when it’s when it’s trivial to you uh to get some some faster upgrades, right? Because at like level 30, you can sit on any of the name spawns down here and kill them on respawn without even trying. I came in at level 50 with a rogue and I just snuck between pretty much everything killing them all. um is definitely definitely an easy way to get a lot of a lot of items really quick. And I think rogue is like one of the best classes for farming names in instances like there we go. So it’s a 148 well 427 at zero, right? So it’ll eventually get a little better. We’ll keep it on our hand for now. Not sure where that guy came from, but there we go. So, 1 minute and 39 uh or 1 hour and 39. We killed the Lrod at level five where I didn’t try it until level six on the uh [snorts] other one. And you saw here 8.998% experience. So, there is some kind of a level experience gap. So, killing reds is just I don’t feel like it’s worth it anymore. I feel like you before you could get like 14 or 15% a kill in the private beta. Um, but now the the goal I think is within three levels of you. So this guy’s a six. He’s going to give what? 4%. 3%. Yeah. So, you know, there’s probably some kind of uh you know, formula that you can come up with and stuff, but uh definitely uh play that. And how many moes do I have right now? I have seven. So, it’s it’s fairly on par, right? I think uh I stayed here till almost level seven. I think that I was about the level seven. There’s six. I think I was about to hit seven on uh the thing when I stopped it at two hours. So, as you can see, this is going pretty well. And we’re have no no problem uh continuing here and working our way through fallen. and the stuns. Uh, truly not worth I don’t think it’s worth the run from Farroat. I mean, it’s just not worth my time. But, I mean, anybody can play whatever whatever they want. Now, I might I might do the ogre start if the patch notes do not include, you know, uh, a fix for the uh for the stuff, right? So, I DON’T KNOW. ALL RIGHT. [screaming] PERFECT. And you know, these are like 1% each, so it’s kind of kind of lame, if you will, but uh like this one’s a blue, right? So 63. So we got 2% um AA experience for our blue, whereas we got 1.3 for that. I think that’s how that works. Unless it’s like just rounding it, right? So 63. Oh, there we go. 639 629 [snorts] 649. So 2% versus Yeah. No, 1.9. Yeah, we’re getting more AA experience on blues than we are on uh I think the higher level ones. So, you know, your miles are very uh again how you grind through all this and stuff like that. But, uh I think at this point we’ve uh kind of accomplished my goal, right? We hit level six uh but fallen, you know, we had a few deaths along the way. We kind of learned some lessons there, but some of the deaths put us in a better position when we died that got us across zones, right? Uh I to me I still feel like Xixar is is mine mine my start right like I at this point I feel that but if the ogre unlock is still forage for 6 months to get enough fruit or whatever the hell it is and then I am uh probably going to do an ogre start and then switch to XR as soon as I can. I think that would be, you know, the the way I’d probably do it just to have ogre unlocked because I can see myself wanting to play. There we go. Got a shield. All right. Perfect. All right. So, I can see myself wanting to play an ogre in some combos, right? Like a combo without a tank where ogre would really shine in uh in really big wise, right? like say shaman cleric bard, right? Like that’s a combo I want to try, but you’re only going to get 90% or 80% stun reduction with that combo. Now, going into uh, you know, not having a tank, you’re going to get stunned quite a bit, and that’s a pretty, you know, heavy casting build. So, you’d probably want to have uh an ogre as the primary uh race there. So, I can definitely see in certain combos and certain loadouts where I would want to have, you know, that uh that extra ogre uh stun from the front. So, uh definitely something I’m going to unlock. Uh I don’t want to pay money for any of the unlocks. So, uh that is going to be that is going to be probably what I do. Uh depending on the patch notes, right? They say, you know, oh, the merchants of Aglock are going to, you know, get a little bit more happier when you give them some, uh, something. I mean, that is definitely going to, uh, to be the direction I’m going to go. Uh, and that’s going to be a temporary, you know, start as an ogre, you know, level up until I have what, 200 platinum to turn into an XR. I think it is maybe 200 platinum. I think you can take all the fine steel junk and turn that into the ore, too. So, uh that’s, you know, kind of the direction I’m looking. Uh I don’t know what direction you’re looking, but uh you know, ogres fine, right? We had no problem doing this. Uh same thing. Uh I’m sure I could do the exact same thing with any race, uh all the way to uh you know, six just like this. Just pick a class you know you want to play. Pick a secondary you want. I’m going with Druid because I want to have the ports available to me early on. And it is a healing class I have not taken uh as a primary to uh I mean not as a as a main healing class right in my combos to uh 50. So, you know, that’s a little something new content for me. And they just added those new heals and stuff and I haven’t I haven’t experimented with those at all. So, I think it’ll be fun to experiment that in retail and stuff like that. But, uh, you know, everybody has their different ways they want to play. They, some people want to play the best thing they can possibly imagine. Uh, which I don’t believe there is one. I don’t believe there is one best combo. I think there’s just, you know, what you favor and I like on paper ogre probably is uh, you know, better better. Uh, but to me, I I prefer XR. I think they look cooler. I mean, look at this guy. He looks like a savage lizard man with a stick and a shield. And the ogres just don’t look as shiny and cool. I don’t know what it is. You can see here where what 62 AC. Pretty nice. Let’s attack this guy. Get spun around. There we go. [snorts] I don’t even think I’ve healed for the last few mobs. I think I’m uh I’m doing doing pretty well. What am I What’s my base regen? My base regen right now at level six is four, right? So, if I pop and boom. So, I go back up to eight, right? Uh so, that’s, you know, pretty pretty big change right there, right? Considering I’m I haven’t been casting any spells, so I don’t even need to be in recovery [snorts] now. We could go into striker stance, right? And you’ll see when this uh all goes off at once, we get a massive damage boost. Right. So, cleave, crush, kick, you know, everything goes up in that one. I think offensive is a little bit better. Uh, you know, because we can pull up a little bit more damage, but just depends. Let’s go with this one. And we’re at 14. So, one platinum. We made less money than the ogre. [gasps] Uh, cuz we we didn’t kill as many things, right? We killed a lot more low-level uh low-level things in that video [laughter] because we were in FRA for so long. There we go. See, our crushes are 28 while in offensive. [snorts] You know, we’re taking more damage. Well, you know, but we’re fighting a level 13 versus a level uh the last one was level 11, so got to really put uh that extra pressure there. 26 28. Boom. So, we got another rod, right? So, that was 427 to 427. [laughter] What kind of [\h__\h] is that? Oh man. So, we got that one and we can just keep the cycle here. But I think I’m going to just, you know, keep going. Kill it here. My wife’s already m messaging me a lot. So, that is the XR start. That’s my plan. start right there. Now, uh I might do ogre um just to temporarily so it we have the race unlocked, right? Uh the XR is fairly easy to unlock. So, you know, it is it’s just a choice there. Uh but my goal if I made the the ogre would be to go immediately to North Row, bind, and not waste my time in the fear rot. Uh, I think that is the the lesson I learned from the previous video and the lesson I’ve learned from this video is go straight here and not don’t waste my my time in North Row at level one, go straight into Eastport, turn that to difficulty four, you know, kill everything I can and then at level three go out and start making my way towards befallen. So, I don’t know. What do you guys think? Uh, you know, I thought about these videos at the last moment uh before the beta comes down in uh two days. So, if there’s any questions or comments, please let me know. And uh you know, I’ll see you guys in retail and hope you have a great time playing EverQuest Legends. Thank you very much for watching and please have a fantastic day.
