Imps Are Easy In SolB

Hello and welcome to my legendary adventures in Norrath. Today we are in Sol B. And I’ve been grinding here for a just a little bit and we start here at 42 right after that Yale video. And we are now 45 almost 46. It’s taking me a few hours. So it’s not too bad. Made about a thousand plat. >> [laughter] >> I was completely out of money buying spells. I can finally buy my I think I think it’s just my level 50 druid spells >> [music] >> and whatnot, but kind of wanted to show how I do this, right? I have a charmed imp that I I charm I swap between them, right? I don’t I have no loyalty to any of these imps. I kill them as I as I need to. And I just run around this little area right here killing whatever I can get my hands on. Now that’s the death trap. Where are we at? There we go. He’s discharmed, so I just charm him again. Oh, I’m on the on the fake floor. Oh god. How did I do that? All right, so the free free lord spawns you know, he spawns a lot. Uh I have gotten my boots to plus four and my ring to plus three. Uh so definitely no placeholders is definitely speeding gearing up. If I was in a like a D4, I mean I’d probably be able to plus 10 this thing in no time at all. And we’ll probably we’ll probably end up you know, doing that kind of stuff, but we there’s there’s no point. These are These are non best in slot items. So, there’s no point wasting your time farming them if you don’t need to. But uh we are >> [sighs] >> we are on the roll here. So, my plan is uh we’re going to hit 46 here [music] today uh and then the next video is going to be Nagafen. Uh or at least an attempt on Nagafen. And then and if we do Nagafen, we’ll do an attempt on Vox. And if we knock those two out, uh the the video after that will be uh Plane of Hate for a little bit. We’ll do uh we’ll just go up there fresh leveling, you know, for 46 to 50. Uh just see where we get and if we can get some armor and stuff like that. And then uh we’ll then we’ll head off to Fear and farm uh breastplates. Now, I do have uh one of these uh void touched from getting the uh our Yael kill. Uh we should get two more from getting our Nagafen and Vox kills, which will then give us our three for the for the week, right? And then uh I’m going to be focusing 100% of my effort uh to get a uh >> [music] >> warrior breastplate up to seven. Uh every every mode I have is going to go into that. Uh and every ounce of effort I have is going to go into that also. Uh It is definitely going to be a challenge uh but getting that to seven before the next reset will allow us to plus 10 that, right? That’ll give us our, you know, end game breastplate. We’ll we’re never going to have to uh worry about it again. All right, that guy needs to be re-charmed. But uh you know, it is what it is. Where did he go? All right, I must be lagged. This is why I don’t stream. I lag. Like you can see here, it just lags out, right? Like I don’t know why. Uh Now, he’s already recharged. This this thing is so lag. I don’t even know. What’s going on half the time, but it is it’s going pretty well. I have not had any [music] any more issues with Linux playing the game since I made that change, which is fantastic. [music] I was about to I was about to just give it all up if I couldn’t get past that. It’s just like oh god, did I what did I do? But, you know, it is it’s been fantastic. It’s working great. I’m push I’m I’m able to edit more videos at a time because I’m recording them in a better format. Now [music] that I’ve done some other tweaks here and there. I did get a few comments that the music’s a little too loud in some videos, so you know, I’m working on to make sure that’s resolved. >> [music] >> Some some videos don’t even have music because when I upload it to YouTube, it gets copyright strike [music] even though it’s no no copyright music, so I don’t know. So, some of them don’t have any of that. And I’m I’m lowering I lower the I lower it 75% and I’m listening to it at 100% right now and I can barely hear it, so we’ll see what we’ll see how it goes there. But, uh So, if there’s any other audio things, let me know. I’m it’s still a work in progress. This is this is going to be this is going to be like video nine or 10, I think. I can’t remember where I’m at level numbering at this point. I’m going to try I’m going to I’m going to release these on the weekends. There’s going to be a you know I’m just going to put them all. I normally only do videos during the week, but these I’m creating a a quite a bit of more. So I’m going to do them every day during the day until that kind of this kind of dries up. But you can see here this build is absolutely phenomenal. I don’t even know how much I’ve healed at all in the last few minutes here. I super healed myself I guess at some point. Don’t even remember pushing the button. It [music] is it has been really good. The only thing I’m I’m concerned about for the dragons is is this [music] it’s like an 400 point AOE, right? Maybe less now maybe they nerfed it a few times since the last time I did it. But that’s a lot of damage. Um to heal, right? This super heal is 600 damage and then this is 120 * 6 plus 390 and I think it crits. I’ve started putting some points into the healing AAs, but obviously not enough yet. So that’ll be something we kind [music] of work towards here in the next uh next bit of AA. This guy just keeps does not want to stay charmed. There we go. I don’t even think that was the right one, but doesn’t matter. >> [music] >> They’ll they’ll die. Doesn’t matter. So this at 42 this was about 2% in change a kill and as we get closer to 46 it’s gotten down [music] to about 1% a kill. So it it gets [music] slow. I think whole might be a better option at 45 plus. Uh but for the effort to move to Hall, uh probably not worth my effort [music] right now just cuz I’m only trying to get to uh 46 and then it’s it’s Planars and Dragons and fun from that point on. Uh I’m I’m assuming we’ll hit 50 just from just from trying to get armor. Now that we have to go to both Fear and Hate to get the uh the full set, there is going to be uh you know, a little bit of uh a little bit of effort there to do that. So, Fear, I believe, is going to be significantly harder, obviously. Uh we might even be able to do Hate at two to kind of speed up the process. We’ll see how that goes. I got The when I did Hate last, I was able to solo solo pull everything. I don’t do any AoE stuff in Hate. Uh I just solo pull. Uh so, that might be nice. The like, I’ve been trying to find better weapons. Like, we didn’t get the Serpent’s Tooth. Uh so, I mean, we’re going to be kind of limited there, but we’ll see. We’ll definitely see. Maybe we can get uh [music] some better uh stuff. All right, let’s try him this one since he’s got more life. And kill this one. Uh it’s not too bad. Like, we I mean, we get 1.1, 1.5. It’s decent amounts of experience there. This one was nice. It was 1.4. [music] So, you know, we’re almost going to ding. So, this is this is uh definitely uh [music] decent in Obviously, getting these boots is pretty good. I don’t have the focus and all that. I have the fervor one in there. Uh This is the focus enhancement [music] haste. I think this is going to be our end game focus. I’d have to look at my spreadsheet again. Uh but, you know, it’s >> [music] >> uh that’s just until we get a better belt. Now, I’m I really want to get a cloak of flames. That’s kind of really the the drive for me to get to the dragons is so I [music] can I can get rid of this belt and put on my Brell’s belt and then have my haste there, which will give me a net gain stats. Uh I’m assuming we’re over 4K hit points now. I have like zero buffs on. It’s They wear off and uh I just don’t care. [music] Like I don’t need I don’t need buffs to kill any of this stuff. So, it’s it’s it’s one of those things. It’s just like, all right, well, it’s I don’t need it. Why why am I going to waste my time? Uh mostly because it they just wear off so fast and I’m just in the mindset of grinding. I only really focus on buffs when I’m killing great mobs and I you know, I switch over to my other spell set, buff up, and then I go in, right? >> [music] >> Uh and if I die, I rebuff here, but I haven’t died and uh I haven’t died since I tried to pull every single kobold in this area and then realized that the priest was up and he perma-stunned me. >> [laughter] >> Cuz the priest spawns 100% now, right? So, I was like, hell yeah, I’m going to do it. I can I know I can do it. I was taking like no damage and then stun, stun, stun. And I was just like, ah, it’s over. It’s over, but we got uh we got a painbringer, we got a fleshripper, we got a staff of raving. Uh you know, we got some options. Great charm. Looks like we’re about to get two more AAs. And I’ve just been buying the uh uh the two AA uh things to kind of just start rounding stuff out. I want to get steadfast knocked out here pretty soon. I think once I get steadfast done, I’m not going to be investing any more any more uh any more into these potions. There we go, we just got that one. Um mostly cuz I’m just speeding this up, right? I’m trying to get back to where I was. Why can’t I click? All right, there we go. It worked. Uh I’m trying to get back to where we were when we were on the test server. Uh is my goal, right? So I can get get back to making videos. Uh to me leveling is uh like, you know, it’s a very short thing to [music] do uh once you have your past your first character. It’s it’s just not something that I’m going to, you know, spend a lot of time doing. Obviously, we’re going to level, you know, I I think they they said right here, it’s in the in the thing. Slots, loadouts, right? Maximum of 16 loadouts, so um and they’re only 500 each, so it’s five bucks. So every every new character set, we’re going to make a new loadout. Uh and max, you know, max all those out. I don’t know how many I don’t even know how many loadouts I have now. It doesn’t even tell me. But [music] uh we’re going to uh you know, be making a few of those. I got some builds I want to try. Uh and then uh you know, I’ll take requests. So if there’s a build you want to see, you know, right now my warrior is is my primary, right? So I can only do stuff with the warrior, but uh at 50, I am going to switch my uh primary to a shaman because I I like shaman, and I think shaman is a very uh a very fun class to have in a loadout. So [music] we’re going to do that. Uh and then once we get the shaman to 50, we’re going to probably do a paladin [music] cuz I haven’t done that one yet. I want to do shaman paladin uh bard, I think is what I was thinking about doing. And then uh when I get those get 50, try something else. And uh whatnot. So, you know, it’s whatever uh you know, >> [music] >> you know, whatever we can think of, we’re going to we’re going to try to make it and uh let’s see if we can have some fun with it. But, this is this is a pretty good spot. I wish uh I wish the experience was slightly higher, but I don’t think there’s much we can do. So, fury of magic, what’s this one? Crit chance. We’re not really casting anything. I don’t even have a proc in my weapon right now cuz I didn’t get enough things there. Let’s go stealth. This is a This one’s feels [music] like it’s probably worth worth more. That’s That’s worth That’s what interrupts my casting mostly is getting knocked backwards. Even as an ogre, right? [music] It’s uh it’s actually pretty rough at times. Where is that guy? He just does not want to stay there. Let’s charm you. Let’s charm the blue one. All right, which one did we charm? This one? There we go. And now we get some you know, starting to get crits on our AoE dots and stuff and >> [laughter] >> adding all that just starts adding all up. It’s just nice, right? Once this all starts flowing together, it is very nice. We’re at 594. So, like six more mobs and we’ll be done. And uh yeah, so next video uh we’ll make an attempt on uh Nagafen. Unless So, if if So, if the if the next video is uh is me [music] me doing Plan of Hate, it means I I failed at Nagafen, right? Uh like and not just like a failed failed. Like it it was so bad I didn’t even want to put publish the video. Uh but we’ll see. Well, I might publish it anyway even if I if I do fail, but uh I do like to show the failing cuz people think I just go and one-shot things and uh that is that is not true. Uh sometimes there is there is failure and uh learning from your failures is one of the best ways to improve as, you know, a gamer, right? We’re all just gamers at the end of the day trying to get along and earn our platinum, right? But uh But it is uh like Bard 46. Nah. Didn’t do it. All right. You just you just don’t want to stay charmed. I’m going to have to put more points into uh into those. That’s really what it boils down to. That charm I’m going to plus 10 the charm. I’m going to plus 10 everything that the Bard has most likely. Over time. Not immediately. Uh I don’t The motes are not dropping as much as I was getting them before. Uh tell you that. I was I had like 100-and-something plus motes by the time I hit 42 on the private beta. And I’m uh And I’ve I’ve spent some. I’ve spent like maybe 40 motes, but that’s still like I’m not getting a lot of lower-level motes from D1, right? This is This is D1, right? So, these are rank two motes. I’m getting the most of those in D1. I haven’t done a D2. I have not done a single D2 on this character. >> [music] >> I’ve only done D1s and D0. And so there’s your there’s your distribution there. Uh when I first created the character, we had a lot of >> [music] >> these uh ring zero modes, but I used all all all of the ones I got on spells. Oh, there’s a guy over there. What’s he My imp just did one of his job without me even doing it. That is so nice. There we go. And this one should ding us here, maybe. Probably not, right? Like seems to not like the overflow experience at all and just like sits you at the edge and it’s like cocking you, you know? Come on. Rampage. >> [music] >> Kill this blue one, too, probably. But this is what I do. I like literally just been running around in the circles in this area for like an hour. The Afridi every time he pops from 42 to 46, right? Uh you could go to Guk and you could stay in Guk doing like the king or uh the lord, but oh my god, you’re going to you’re going to you’re going to cry. It’s it’s not that fun. Uh I did it I did it in uh private the first beta because this assault peak couldn’t be instanced right away. And uh it was absolutely horrendously painful. Uh I stopped playing a few times during that process. All right, but there we go. 46. So look at that. 428 finishing blow. Very nice. >> [music] >> Uh so there we go. That’s that’s how I go to 46, right? So that’s every video should show, you know, somewhat of a process, which is all to the plan, right? Like this Let me see if I can pop this in. There we go. So here’s the plan, right? In the Google sheet. Um you know, we [music] deviated, you know, down here a little bit, but you know, right here we we pretty much did this. We came here a little earlier. Uh mostly cuz I was, you know, at [music] my It’s when the instances are kind of like ending ending, so it’s what it is. Uh but what I’m going to do Oh, yeah, we did this already. We did that at 40 uh 42 done. So, we did that. Uh so, we’re on plan, all right? We are very on plan. And uh I see you know, no no there needs to deviate from the plan at this point, but uh that’s that for this episode. Uh so, next episode will either be Nagafen or uh or hate, depending on uh how how bad things go. And this wolf is called the ancient wolf, apparently. Uh it’s the greater wolf form. It’s a pretty cool uh nice little shrink permanent a permanent illusion effect, and it’s not very nice. >> [music] >> So, uh there you go. Well, 42 to 46 is pretty much what I did here.
