Solo Plane of Sky finally works, the weapon nerf is reverted, instance charges arrive, and the whole zone experience table is rebalanced to push people out of dungeons into an open world I do not think has anywhere worth levelling past 40.
A heavy patch. Solo Plane of Sky finally works, the weapon nerf is reverted, instance charges arrive, and the whole zone experience table is rebalanced to push people out of dungeons and into the open world. That last one is the change I argue with, because I cannot name a single open world classic zone worth levelling in past 40.
The Experience Rebalance, and Why I Doubt It
Open world up, dungeons down.
- Most open world zones get their modifier increased and many dungeons get a slight decrease, stated as providing more viable levelling paths.
- I cannot name one open world classic zone worth levelling in past 40. They are all low level. Some level 30 hill giants somewhere, not worth the effort.
- So this could go badly depending on how far the dungeon side was cut. There may be nothing on the other side of the trade.
- Cities now give normal experience, so killing guards is back for anyone who never minded ruining someone else's lands to level.
- Kedge keeps its original modifier, the highest in the game, for those willing to brave the depths. It is also a terrible zone.
- Instanced Hate, Fear and Sky now match the open world, which is the genuinely good half. People had been getting raid-rate experience in there, fractions of a percent, and this could make it the way to level past 46.
Solo Sky Works Now
I have been waiting a month for this.
- Personal instances of Plane of Sky are operational, with one week left in the beta.
- Run it at difficulty zero. Quest items only spawn at base difficulty, so there is no reason to go higher unless the item count scales, and I do not believe it does.
- The plan is to one-shot tier one and work up from there.
Instance Charges Arrive
A new resource to think about.
- One charge an hour, capped at two.
- A charge is spent on entering a personal instance, and at zero you cannot enter one at all.
- Raid creation putting you in the wrong difficulty is fixed, which had caught me out more than once.
- The difficulty button is revamped to be more intuitive.
Repeat Raids Drop One Item
The bonus lockout system, worked through.
- Inside the lockout, each named drops a single piece of loot rather than its usual table.
- Take Fear as the example. Terror, Dracolich, Dread, Fright and Cazic Thule is five mobs, so five loot chances on a clean run.
- On the repeat, that becomes five single items. Cazic Thule dropping one instead of four.
- The lockout is around 18 hours as I understand it.
Najena Gets Revamped
And the note has a joke buried in it.
- Smoother NPC level progression, new named, new drops and loot improvements, listed for 15 to 30.
- A striking lack of placeholders for named mobs, which is the phrase in the notes and the best part of it.
- Then: "on a completely unrelated note, I could swear my Journeyman's Boots
Journeyman's BootsEQLMAGIC ITEM NODROPSlot: FEETAC1Effect: JourneymanBoots (Clicky)Any Slot, Casting Time: InstantWT: 2.5 Size: SMALLClass: ALLRace: ALLSource: Najena, Drelzna are one percent faster." That is the announcement. - Which is what I want. I would rather kill something for the boots than run the quest.
Also teased: the barricades in New Sebilis have started to rattle, and the monstrosities behind them are nearly ready to take flight. For now the barricade holds.
Weapons Are Back
The nerf is reverted outright.
- Weapon upgrade scaling returns to what it was before the nerf bat swung.
- I expect to steamroll essentially everything on the back of it.
- Warrior's Endurance AA is re-enabled, the one percent regeneration.
- Two enemies removed from the Lady VoxLady VoxEQLLava Dragon ClericLevel: 55 Zone: PermafrostLoc: (857, -262)AC470HP32000HP REGEN17MANA REGEN17SV FIRE70SV DISEASE340SV COLD1000SV MAGIC340SV POISON340Hits for 85-218, 4 (?) per round, at 83%SpecialBanish, Dragon Roar, Frost Breath, Complete Heal, Enrage, Summon, Uncharmable, Unfearable, Unmezzable, Unstunnable, See Invis, See-hide, Belly Caster room in Permafrost, which matters because face tanking four adds and Vox at once was beyond some builds.
Rogues Finally Get Upgrades
The thing that put me off levelling one.
- Two new disciplines at 46. Cobra Venom upgrades Asp Venom for more proc damage, and Blood Draw Venom upgrades Blood Siphon for a better life tap.
- My biggest complaint with rogue was exactly this. You got your disciplines at 20 and then nothing, and the scaling did not keep up.
- Escape is fixed to not be auto-granted.
- I enjoyed rogue, and this is enough to bring me back to it in a build.
Beastlords Get a 40 Percent Slow
Which changes the maths on a build I already rate.
- Sha's Lethargy goes from 30 to 40 percent. Slow is what dismantles raid bosses, so this is not a small line.
- Warrior, Cleric and Shaman is the most overpowered combination I have picked, and swapping the shaman for a beastlord to get 40 percent is now worth considering.
- Spiritual Light now gives endurance regeneration, which is a real gap filled.
- Languid Pace is the surprise. I look it up live: a 30 percent disease slow, and an enchanter spell.
- I had assumed beastlords got the lower rank shaman slows. Checking, their first is Drowsy at 20 and the next is not until 50, so they never did. Handing them an enchanter slow is the interesting choice here.
Rangers Are On the Table
A quietly large buff.
- Force of Nature becomes a permanent self-only buff with increased HP regeneration and endurance regeneration added, on the same scaling as Chloroplast.
- The damage shield and attack values go up slightly as well.
- Call of Earth moves down to 48, making room at the 50 capstone.
- Rain Caller's fire strike gets unlimited charges on a two minute recast, which is another ranger buff hiding in the item list.
Constructed Potential
Motes stop needing the Priest of Discord.
- One now exists in Surefall Glade and New Sebilis, having arrived in a hotfix ahead of this patch.
- It converts motes two to one, across ranks one through eight, so fifty tier ones become twenty-five tier twos.
- It replaces the Priest of Discord for this purpose, which makes upgrading considerably less awkward.
Renames and Small Fixes
The tail of the list.
- Keyring is now alternate storage, and expeditions are now instances.
- Innoruuk should now do less melee damage than Cazic Thule, which reads as a substantial nerf to him.
- Voidlings see through every form of invisibility and stealth, and a mysterious presence is lingering near one of them.
- The arena is reverted to its original form, with NPCs at the gates for setting bind and summoning sparring partners and training dummies.
- Loadouts cannot be swapped while hiding, sneaking, invisible, trading or using world containers. I hit that one myself the day before.
- Deity spells can be scribed without the deity but not cast or memorised.
- Content and primary class channels no longer auto-join.
- Golden Pennant gains 1 AC, and the Kedge Backbone should stop dropping.

Hello and welcome to Everquest Legends beta patch notes for June 23rd, uh 2026. Now, I’ve I’ve kind of read over these um on my phone, >> [laughter] >> but now we’re going to read over them here on the uh offer everybody. So, in general, uh zone experience modifier changes. Most cities reward now normal experience for those who didn’t mind ruining uh someone else’s land lands to level, right? So, now you can kill guards to get experience, uh like you could back in the olden days. Most open world zones had their zone uh experience modifiers increased and many dungeons have been slightly decreased to provide more viable leveling paths. Now, this one is interesting because uh I cannot think of uh like off the top of my head a single classic zone that is open world that is uh viable for leveling. >> [laughter] >> Uh for the for the upper levels, right? Like 40 plus, so uh this is uh this could be catastrophic uh depending on how bad they decrease those dungeons because uh uh I just can’t think I can’t I literally cannot think of a single zone, right? They’re like all low-level zones. Maybe there’s some level 30 hill giants in a zone, you know, like they’re not even worth worth the effort, but uh definitely something to uh keep an eye out there uh for sure. Uh Kedge has retained its original modifier for those willing to brave the depths, right? So, Kedge I believe had the highest experience modifier in the game, but uh you’re in Kedge and it’s a terrible zone. So, uh your mileage may vary there. Uh boosted the ZEM on instanced versions of Hate, Fear, and Sky to match the open world version. Uh apparently uh people were getting I have not done a solo hate or fear since I got on my armor. But apparently we’re getting people are getting like raid experience so like 0.003 or something like that. So, hopefully that is like normal experience and that is going to be the way to level 46 plus. Now uh removed all content and primary class channels from auto join. So, like when you join you would try to join like Anatomica or Kunark or whatever zone uh channel it was, right? World in dungeons adventurers 15 to 30 exploring uh the zone Najena. Uh can it see a smoother NPC level progression new named new drops loot improvements and a striking lack of placeholder name for placeholders for named mobs. On a completely unrelated note, I could swear my Jboots are 1% faster. So, I’m guessing like this is this is something that I wanted to see cuz I don’t I don’t like doing the Jboot quest personally. I I want to go and kill something to get stuff. I don’t want to do some quest for you know that. So, hopefully these are back and you can go into Najena and you can kill you know whatever boss it was to get Jboots and whatnot. So, that’ll be nice. The hastily built barricades in New Sybilis have started to rattle. The hemmed-in monstrosities are becoming restless and they’re nearly ready to take flight uh beyond the late defenses laid by the expedition. Well, for now the barricade holds. Now, so there’s something going on in the New Sybilis. So, >> [laughter] >> that’s the Xor starting zone. So, hopefully that’s it’s going to be interesting to see where what happens there. Let’s see here. Warrior’s endurance AA has been re-enabled. So, this is I believe the warrior 1% regeneration AA, so hopefully uh hopefully that’s cool. >> [laughter] >> Uh the escape AA for rogues has been fixed uh to not be auto granted. Nice. Uh rogues now gain two new disciplines at level 46. Uh Cobra Venom, which is an upgrade to Asp Venom, so we get uh more damage on the rogue proc there. And Blood Draw Venom, which is an upgrade to Blood Siphon, so that’s a better life tap. So that that really That was one of my biggest issues with the rogue. Um uh leveling that one up, right? You have these disciplines you got at level 20 and there was no upgrades, no nothing, and the scaling on them just was not scaling to where I would like it. And uh sounds like they uh they thought the same way, so uh that is fantastic. And uh hopefully that’s, you know, some good damage out of that because uh that’ll really push rogue over some of the other classes. I really enjoyed rogue, so this this means I might come and revisit it a little bit. We might see this in uh a build or two here coming up. A mysterious presence has been spotted lingering near one of the voidlings. Brave adventurers should probably investigate. Voidlings can now see through every form of invisibility and stealth. The arena has been reverted to its original form. The sky The Soul Bomb Blinder and Overseer Rael uh reside near the gates of the arena allowing for setting your bind and summoning sparring partners, training dummies dummies respectively. A constructed potential now exists in Surefall Glade and New Sylvalis. Uh now, if you don’t know what the constructed potential is, this is a thing they added in a hotfix. Um I think it was this this one higher right here. It got was supposed to come out in this patch, but it got uh it got put into this. Uh and this removes the Priest of Discord and lets you upgrade your motes at a two to one rate. So, you can take, you know, 50 uh tier ones and turn them into 25 tier twos, right? So, kind of nice. All the way up to I think tier eight. Yeah, ranks one to eight. So, definitely uh uh really this makes it easier to upgrade some stuff there. Now, uh da da da da da where were we here? Yeah. Uh da da da updated the dialogue for Solgryn in Everfrost Peaks. And Innoruuk should do less melee damage than Cazic Thule round. So, that sounds like a huge nerf to Innoruuk, honestly. Uh I have no I have not had any problems. I got some videos coming out over the next week and I’m trying to I’m trying to make get all the videos, so there’s very little downtime on that. I I do one video a day, that’s all I do. Um I haven’t been able to stream because I’m having some serious issues with uh like just the internet. >> [laughter] >> Internet and Twitch just don’t don’t go together. So, I’m just I I prefer making VODs anyway. It’s more uh it’s better for me. But, uh yeah, so uh there’ll be some videos showing this. Uh I should be on today to film Sky. And uh we’ll go kill Innoruuk again. I think all my timers reset, so uh personal instance charges are now implemented. You gain a charge every hour with a maximum of two charges. A charge is consumed when you enter a personal instance. If you run out of charges, you can no longer enter enter a personal instance until you have at least one charge. All right. >> [laughter] >> Sounds interesting. Raids now have a bonus lockout system where if you’re in that lockout, you only receive one item uh one piece of loot per named per raid creature that has its own lockout, right? So, what does that mean? Uh, like let’s take fear for example. There’s uh, Terror, Dracolich, uh, Dread, Fright, and Kaz’rogal. That’s five mobs, right? So, there’s five chances for loot when you do this normally, right? Um, so you do it the first time you get, you know, whatever loot you get. You get the normal loot, right? And then you do it the next time, uh, which I believe is an 18-hour lockout, I believe is what they said. Um, you only get one item from these bo- these mobs on the second time. So, Kaz’rogal instead of dropping like say four items, he’s going to drop one item, right? And so on and so on through all the rest of these, so interesting. Uh, let’s see here. Fixed an issue where raid creation could put you in the wrong difficulty. Had that happen to me a few times. The difficulty button has been revamped to be more intuitive. Personal instances of Sky are now operational. I’m excited about this. One week left in beta and uh, finally get to go. And uh, hopefully we could we’ll we’ll one-shot it all. I’m going to do it on like difficulty zero first and then we’ll go through it all. Uh, I don’t see any reason to do any other than the base difficulty for Sky. Just because like quest items do not spawn at a higher higher difficulty, right? Uh, they spawn at zero. So, there’s no point in doing that unless you get more items per time, uh, but I don’t believe that is the case. Removed two enemies from the Lady Vox room in Permafrost. All right, that is fantastic, right? Like I I going all the way out to Vox is a pain in the ass. Um, but then having to face tank four mobs inside her room while face tanking her is just a little bit much for uh, solo. Uh, so that’s fantastic, right? Like I I’ve done it on some characters. I’ve been able to just face tank it all and kill her. Uh but on others, you know, you you just don’t have the sustain. So, it’s uh definitely interesting there. Items, the golden pennant now has one AC. Reign Caller’s fire strike effect now has unlimited charges with a 2-minute recast. That is a nice little buff to uh rangers there. The Kedge Backbone should no longer drop. The change to weapon upgrade scaling has been reverted back to the the nerf bat swung before the nerf bat swung. All right. So, uh looks like weapons are back on the table. Uh this will be interesting to see. Uh today should be able to theoretically steamroll every single mob in the game at this point. Uh but we’ll see how this goes. Uh loadout, players can no longer swap loadouts while hiding or sneaking. You cannot swap them while invis. I I hit that yesterday. Players can no longer swap loadouts while trading or using a world uh world containers. All right. Beastlord All right, Beastlord buffs. All right. Uh Beastlord spell spiritual light now provides endurance regeneration. Oh. That is actually kind of nice. Beastlord spell Sha’s lethargy now slows 40% increased from 30%. Okay, that is that is actually nice. Like it like like slow like just totally destroys these raid bosses, right? Uh you’ll see if he’s if you’ll see when the video comes out. I did like warrior, cleric, shaman, right? Oh my god, that is like the most overpowered combo that you could possibly pick. And uh that is actually pretty nice. Might be able to put in Beastlord instead of shaman to get that 40% slow. That might be actually pretty nice. Uh and then languid pace, I’m not 100% sure what this one is. Let me let me Google this one real quick. Copy. I can’t really I thought it’s a slow [laughter] one in all honesty. Um but see here. All right, languid pace. All right, there we go. All right, it’s a P99 slow. It’s an It’s a slow. It’s a 30% disease slow. Enchanter. It’s an enchanter P [laughter] All right, let me pull this in. So, this is from P99. So, it’s an enchanter slow. Um I’m not 100% sure uh the reason why beastlords get access to that when they already have uh access to uh the uh the They should have already had access to the shaman slow, right? Let me uh See if we can Alakazam. Doesn’t even show up anymore. Uh Alakazam, there we go. And then zones. Spells. All right, classes beastlord. Let’s do level one, one and higher. We’ll do all expansions just to see here. So, the first slow should be drowsy right here at level 20, right? And then see here. When’s the next slow? Oh jeez. And then shout 50. All right, so they did not give. That is interesting. I always assumed that beastlords got like uh you know, the lower ranks of the shaman slows, but I guess not. All right, so that’s They got an enchanter slow. That’s interesting. The ranger spell force of nature is now a permanent self-only buff. Force of nature hit point regeneration has been increased and it has been given endurance regeneration as well. It’s the same scaling as chloroplast. Oh my god, rangers are on the table now. The damage shield and attack values have also been slightly increased. To Two corresponding changes have been increased. Uh it has been increased to the level 50 capstone spell for rangers. All right, so congrats rangers, you’re a little bit stronger. Call of earth, the previous level 50 ranger spell has been pushed to 48. Uh adjusted the buff stats on suffocating spear so that shallow breath will not override it. Deity specific specific spells cannot be described without having the proper deity. However, you cannot cast or memorize it unless you have it. All right. Uh potions and feather to the bone uh fill the bone should no longer uh bone field should no longer be craftable. Yeah, UI drop down menus now properly close when the parent window is closed. Constructed constructed potential should show on the find window. Uh looms should now show up on the find window. Hadistak Hills and Plane of Knowledge should no longer show up in the find window. Fixed client visual desync and unstable items caused by exaltations with the deity requirement. Keyring has been renamed to alternate storage. Interesting. Alternate storage. Oh, so I’m guessing that’s the actual key race, not an actual not the keyring itself. But the actual uh That’s nice. All right, expeditions have been renamed to instances. All right, perfect. So that is the patch notes for June 23rd uh 2026 and this is exciting. Like this I’ve been waiting for solo sky for like a month now. So this is fantastic. Uh I’m hoping to go in and uh one shot tier one. And then uh you know, we’ll see how that goes. Maybe we can unlock uh some different classes as the primary in uh in this last week of beta and you know, get something going here. Now my plan is to uh on July 1st, you know, play with ever you know, play play in the uh the open servers or the the pre-order servers, I guess, with everybody. Um you know, if you’re wanting to join up or group up, hit me up on uh Discord. Just join in my my Discord here. And then come down to the Everquest Legends channel. Uh I do bring in the news from this server and I do the bring in the Everquest news from the Everquest server also. So I don’t know if there’s an Everquest 2 Discord, but I maybe I should do that, too. Uh but uh definitely there you can see I have all my stuff on my little Discord here. It’s nice and nice and neat. I try to get it all there, but uh definitely uh you know, going to be playing. I don’t know what server I’m going to be playing on, but uh hopefully I get my name or I won’t play. But uh definitely uh definitely going to be fun. So uh thank you very much for watching and please have a fantastic day.
