Crushing Some Bones - WAR / BRD / SHM

Hello and welcome to my legendary adventures in Norath. Today we’re actually going to be leveling a shaman. So, let’s go ahead and build a new load out for the shaman, right? Uh looks like I had already uh done that. [laughter] Okay, so we’re going to go ogre for now. Um I’m going eventually turn this one to XR, but we haven’t unlocked XR yet. Uh we’re going to do Bard and Shaman. We’re going to use >> [music] >> uh we’re going to copy this current loadout. So, we’ll have everything that [music] we have now UIwise into this loadout. Uh our city is going to be that. And uh I think we’re good to go. Let’s save that. And we have not swapped yet. So, we’ll see how this goes. All right. Now, when we do that, we’re copying the UIs. So all my saved spell sets I I’m safely I can safely delete all the druid versions as I make uh specific ones for the shaman right uh in the shaman and the board I suppose there now we will start at level 10 as you can see right here level 10 [music] uh we have all the same gear on except it looks like uh one item is not usable by us. So, I have this extra earring here. Swap that in. This is a diamond diamond earring from Mistmore. So, looks like everything else uh should be warrior warrior specific in all honesty. All right, let’s get some spells here. Uh we’re going to go regen. Oh, we’re going to go actually solos on the bottom. Sellos. Uh D regen endurance regen and three put damage over time cords there. And this is the, you know, the cool part, right? You start over, you got pretty much everything you had, right? And uh feels really good. Uh, I want to put something else there. I’m just not 100% sure what to put there right now. My mind is Oh, yeah. We want the haste. There [music] we go. Whistling war song. All right, we got that. Now, that should be good. Now, I’ll hit L. And we want to make sure we got everything autokilled, right? Bash, cleave, and kick. Should be everything [music] there. Slam and bash are the same thing. Should be good. All right. So, the first one here. What was this one? What is Where’s my five button? This is cast one. So, we need our big heal here. So, what is our What is our current big heal? Light healing. All right. Now, do we have bard charm yet? No. So, those will be blank two. Let’s heal over time. We don’t have that one yet. And I think we’re good. We don’t have to really do much else besides that. Maybe Yeah, maybe tainted breath. We’ll put that [music] like right here maybe cuz that’s just going to be a way for us to do damage. [music] Uh I don’t think we have enough spells yet to even to even care [music] otherwise. And I’m just going to put this right there cuz that’s where my muscle memory is. All right. Now, let’s go level. Now, uh as I as you know, my other character is a druid. So, that means we’ve unlocked all the druid parts, right? So, we can go anywhere we want. And where I want to go first is actually crush bone. Uh there is a breastplate there. I can’t remember what it drops off of, but uh we want that. So, there we go. We’re going to go there. And uh we should actually save this. Wait, let me save this real quick so my log parser can see that I’m changed. Uh, loadout. So, war bard sham right there. Save that and we should be good to go. All right, we can go back to main chat there and uh we’re going to port. All right, we’re in butcher block. Let’s head over to uh Greater Fay. And then from Greater Fay, we’ll go into Crushbone. And we’re going to try The goal is to get the spiky breastplate or whatever the hell it’s called. Uh which is a right click bramble uh bramble coat item, which uh does for the druid. It’s there’s no use, right? For the druid ranger, that’s a spell they get. But for most the other layouts, uh, loadouts, you will definitely probably want to have that. It’s extra AC and like two points of damage shield. So, uh, it’ll be nice to have on this build as a uh, you know, as as a shaman because we don’t get that. Now, uh later on, I believe in uh Velus the Tunar Belt has uh the same clickie if not the next tier up. So, kind of a nice little thing to uh pick up and pick up early, right? Uh but you can see here this is my uh my AA parser now my log parser but it hasn’t detected that we’re level 10 yet. There’s no log that says we’re level 10. So once we uh once we get a level or something it should pick that up. So we’ll see how that goes and uh see how it goes. Now the reason I’m making another uh character this early is that I need platinum. I’m at what, 700 platinum. And I didn’t even I didn’t even buy all the rest of the the uh the shaman spells. Uh I need about 1,600 platinum to unlock XR. So, we’re uh you know, kind of working on platinum. Plus, we’re getting to work on some more AAS and uh whatnot. So, that’s going to be kind of the uh it’s a double it’s a double thing, right? So, we’re going to probably be leveling up a few different uh few different [music] classes, right? Like we have our three raids done for the week. Um my current raid progress. Let me see if I can bring this in. So, here’s my current raid progress, right? Uh I’ve done D4 Yale, Nagafin, and Vox. Uh I have not gone back to Kathle. It’s such a schllo to go through there. Uh but I probably do D4 there. And uh D3 is about where I was I was at on Enro. And that was mostly a DPS issue. I couldn’t go any further with the druid DPS- wise until I upgrade my weapons. So I’ve been farming sky. And uh I guess I can bring this back in. So in sky, I’ve been farming stuff. And you can see here like I’m almost done with a few things here. I finished the druid, uh, shimitar, the bard, spear, and I think I got a few more things done um, down here. I just haven’t, uh, for different classes. So, I have to go through and look at that. But that’s, uh, that’s one of the things I started making this log parser for. one it was I wanted to see my DPS in Linux which uh I didn’t even bother trying eq log parser because it’s it’s sonet heavy and it’s got some weird licensing with something in it. I figured it would just give me give me trouble, especially with trying to get it to do the overlay in Wayland, which uh I was able to get it, you know, going pretty well here using this uh this thing I’m using. But uh that is it’s going pretty well there. And uh then I was having all these these oh jeez uh all these sky items and I was like, “Oh my god, I’m never going to figure out what I have and what I don’t have.” You know, I was about to make a spreadsheet. I was just like, “Wait, I have all the loot information, right? I can just be like, “Hey, figure this out, Claude.” And uh lo and behold, Claude has uh has done it. Uh so we got that going. Uh, I don’t know if I’ll release it or anything like that. Uh, I know a few people have have been liking the screenshots that I’ve posted on uh on uh on my Discord. Let me show another another experience here. Right, I logged all the experience leveling [music] up. So, like the best places I I found to level experience-wise, right? Like Blackboro was the highest experience per hour, right? You know, experience per kill, all that. I have it all recorded for each combo and each load out and stuff like that. So, it’s definitely a nice step. Now, I do have a bottle of a potion here. We’re going to drink that. There we go. And then I do I do have some kind of tracking I built into it. Uh well, I say I, but I mean Claude. Uh which was something I wanted. So it knows that I get double ex double uh experience uh for those AAS when there’s a potion activated and it kind of internally keeps track and the uh thing right now like like the reason why I’m I’m hesitant to even uh release it one is it’s it’s like a 100% vibe code. I haven’t even looked at the code for this thing. Like I’m just like, you know what? I was I was I went to dinner with my wife and I was just like, man, I wish I knew what sky weapons I had available to me. You know what I what I could make from what I’ve done so far. [music] And uh [snorts] I was like, you know what? Let’s let’s see what Claude can pull together. I gave an access to my log file and I said, go have fun. And lo and behold, it is it’s having fun. And you know, I know a lot of people don’t like AI and whatnot. I I don’t know if it I haven’t even looked at the code of it, so I don’t know if it’s slot, but it’s doing 100% what I want. Exactly what I want, right? Like it’s uh there’s no >> [music] >> uh you know, there’s no Oh man, it’s doing something completely different than I I asked it. you know, it’s doing exactly what I wanted with like almost zero uh zero input other than my initial prompt and then some feedback along the way for uh making things a little bit different. But hopefully we get into this crush bone here and uh hopefully we can get experience here at level 10. Uh there’s some blues over here. All right. All right. It’s still detecting us. We haven’t leveled up yet. Once we leveled up, it should it should correct that. If not, I’ll have to uh give it some input to determine the level of the load out we are, right? And uh it’s been pretty good, right? It like automatically uh it automatically pulled up the spells DB and cross referenced because I have a I have a buff overlay uh that’ll track all my buffs, right? And it does that like perfectly. Uh the only thing it’s off it’s off by one on uh AAS, right? I’m at 179 with one unspent. It’s off by one because I didn’t have my log running when I bought uh the very first first. So Oh jeez. [music] When I bought the very first uh AA, I didn’t have it running. So I’m a little bit uh a little bit annoyed there, but uh it is what it is. All right. I don’t want to waste my my energy on him. Uh, I still didn’t get my uh my uh inventory slot or my extra equipment slots. Uh, I’m not 100% sure when that’s going to resolve. Probably the patch in all honesty. Slavers lash or junk. I’m still using Sunderfury, and I I tried farming up another one uh to try to get the four, but uh I didn’t want to waste any moes on it cuz I feel like I’m going to replace it cuz I’m one item away from getting the plane of sky weapon, but I keep getting stupid necromancer and mage things. I can literally make all the sky stuff for every class that I that comes off the eye. All right, there we go. There’s the spiky split mail. Got it right away. All right, perfect. Uh critical damage over times go up by the damage, right? So, that’s pretty nice. Extra crit damage on dots, right? And then this guy’s a paladin, so he’s going to lay hands like a little [\h__\h] And then be good. But we’re at what? Five unspent AA. [music] Now, like I want to get Steadfast Will. So that’s going to be that’s one of the things we’re doing here. Uh, I’d like to probably finish out, you know, my crit chance and everything else, right? Like there’s a lot of things I didn’t get in the first run. So, I’m going do that. Uh, now I was going to make a rogue, right? Uh, and then I turned in the spear, the 15 damage back damage spear for the bard uh the bard weapon. And, uh, I wasn’t really thinking there. Uh 17 platinum. All right. Auto cell. Jeez. Uh so I got to get another one of those to make a rogue. And then we’ll have these like massive massive massive backstabs as we’re leveling up with a rogue. And we’re probably going to do the same uh same kind of leveling structure. Maybe I’ll change it up a little bit. But uh I like bard a lot. I’m thinking about using my unlock on paladin. just so I can have a healing healing tank. So, we can do that. Now, I’ve gotten uh I’ve already started getting some of the paladin stuff in Sky. So, if we can get the Paladin uh weapons in Sky, we’ll probably uh probably do it. There’s a Taskmaster. Is that the Is that the Taskmaster? No. >> [laughter] >> I don’t know. They need to fix those. I I don’t know why they didn’t. They need to put all these other names on there so you can actually get some achievements, right? Like, it’s kind of a It’s kind of annoying that achievements exist that uh don’t align with what the actual world is. [music] It just seems like a pre-launch kind of thing. There we go. And uh I guess she’s never heard of one of these and she’s like, “I wish there was a thing that I could like push and make a sound of crickets.” She’s whenever somebody says something. I thought it was the funniest thing in the world cuz uh like when I was a kid, you know, that was a it was a pretty, you know, big thing. Congrats on 50 Z. Congrats. All right. I’m, you know, some people have told me do like a weekly stream, so I might I might do it. I just got to school start starting soon for my kids and then once that happens, I’ll probably have a little bit better of a situational awareness there. I can do something. So, you know, definitely uh you know, that’s not a thing I have to worry about anymore. So, my daytime is a little bit freer. Don’t cut that guy. But I prefer making videos. It’s It’s easier. The video like I feel like streams never get rewatched. Whereas I put out a video [music] I’m getting comments on videos years later. Uh I’ve never gotten a comment on a Twitch VOD. I’ve never gotten a comment on a stream um you more than a week later, right? like like even the YouTube ones like I I I feel like like to me there’s a there’s an accessibility thing with the YouTube UI for getting to the stream replays which I felt like it lowered the views because they don’t show up in the main list of videos. I think with uh [laughter] if we get more AAS and uh you know better weapons and stuff, I think we could probably kill this whole entire zone at level one or level 10 right in AoE. I think I’m going to do that. I think that’s going to be uh cuz we’re going to be leveling up a lot of a lot of characters, right? And hopefully I’ll be able to do the XR unlock uh later today and then I can turn this this one into an XR. I like I just like XR a lot. I’m going to leave the warrior druid [music] bard ogre, right? Like it anything I said in probably previous videos is probably different, right? I would have said, “Come here and get these boots and what do you know? they nerfed in them into the ground, right? There’s a reason why I’ve held off on creating that kind of content. And like I what there another reason why I haven’t created, you know, how I play my uh warrior bar druid video yet, right? Like I feel like the first patch is going to, you know, when it happens on Tuesday is going to change some things. Um I feel like I personally feel like Charm is going to get nerfed. I I truly do. And that affects how I play the that combo, right? That’s why I picked Shaman as the next one. Level up. There we go. Um because Shaman has slow and uh slow is universally good to have. Right. Right now, I use So, I’m using Electron to make this gooey. Right. But the uh the back end is actually a Rust micro service Damon that sits and parses the log constantly. [music] Uh, and it parses fast. I don’t know if you’ve ever used Rust for anything, but it is a fast parsing fast working language. Um, definitely faster parsing than uh JavaScript would be. And uh like so like years ago I wrote this uh this XML parser thing in Ruby. It’s on my GitHub and it parses like this very specific security tool uh data and stuff like that. And it was, you know, it was a few minutes to parse a a fairly large file, right? Uh, I ported that to Rust when I was learning Rust and I got it down to like 10 seconds or less to parse the same files that were taking minutes in Ruby doing the exact same thing. It was like verbatim. Uh, and then I threw Claude at it. I was like, “Hey, what did I do wrong?” And Claude got it down to like one second and it’s all 100% the same data. So, uh definitely uh definitely some interesting stuff there. But, uh uh you know, definitely Rust is a very this is probably my favorite language now. I use I use it for my uh for my Voxil engine that I’ve shown a few pictures on the Discord for. Uh, and I’m well, as soon as I get unaddicted to this, I’m gonna go on that. But got a I got a nice little fun survival game I’m working on. I’m going to do a video on it here pretty soon. And it shows me the charmed mob’s DPS. And I got all that stuff working though, just the way I wanted it, right? And I am going to port this from EverQuest Legends to uh normal EverQuest. I’m actually I’m gonna try to get Claw to convert this UI to uh to normal. I don’t think I can release that one at all, but I’m going to see if it’ll it’ll do it right because it’s already got all the heroic stuff in there, right? Like it it’s loadouts are personas. So, there’s only 16 [music] there’s 16 uh personas you can be. There’s 16 loadouts you can be, right? I’m almost certain clock can one shot porting this to uh to normal EverQuest, right? I got a ton of the the other stuff, but so I can make the fangle uh as soon as I get the drop from uh the eye, but man, uh it’s like hit or miss. Like killing for me, killing the eye with with my you know, warrior druid is is is hit or miss because I have to go into invas evasion for most of the fight and do as much damage as I possibly can [laughter] before I have to go back into balanced mode to regenerate enough endurance [music] to uh finish the fight in uh with that. Right. And then when I’m in uh when I’m in balance mode, I’m spam healing the whole entire time. So the only damage I’m really doing is like my kick, bash, and cleave, and I’ll auto attack here and there. So it is definitely uh it is definitely a different fight. But if I but if I get lucky, when I kill the sister, when I’m right there, she has this uh little wisp cleric mob right next to her. If I charm him, I can then take that thing up to the to the to to the boss, right, to the eye. And [snorts] he will do so much damage that I don’t have to heal at all in the fight. I just go evasive with uh empowered bard chance and I just go go and uh I usually win. And if I need to heal, I just drop into balance, heal, heal, heal until I get the endurance. I change up my whole entire spells to be based on uh regenerative health and endurance. Uh and it it works out pretty well. I think with a little bit more gear, it’ go really fast. Oh, this jury decided to attack that time. And then we got a random guard. All right. Excellent. Just swack these guys down. What are we in? Defensive. Let’s go offensive. Let’s throw a heal.
